Surely the correct answer to the question '...if you could only have one' is...

...'the next one ordered'!

For me that is a Southard. I missed the boat first time around and am excited to get my hands on one of these.

I mentioned in another thread that my most frequently carried knife is my Caly 3.5 so I guess that would have to be my 'keeper' for now. It is just so convenient to carry whilst still being a very capable folder. I love it.

The PM2 is the best one so far for my EDC, but I haven't tried a Military yet. I do have a lot of knives that compete with the PM2 for EDC use so if I could have only one Spyderco I would be better off to pick a Spyderco that fills a different use for me, something like the Manix 2 or even the Manix 2 XL. Or maybe the Military after I have a chance to try one.

I've got too many to choose between but if there could only be one... it'd be the one I've got in my hand the moment I need it. There are none in my Spyderpac that aren't ready for any purpose they were designed to do. But I would put up a fight if someone tried to take my custom scaled Domino or Bradley away from me. So I suppose they would qualify as the "one".
