If you could only have two!!! Please help!

Out of your top 6 Knives ~~ all you will ever need is the 1 & 2 --- if ever need more than a Delica & a Para 2 then you are
in a heap of trouble.!**

The para 2 is pretty thin, I would never trust it as a duty knife. Manix 2 xl is about the only Spydie I'd carry on duty. Have to break my ZT's, striders and Emerson's before that would even cross my mind though..

If you like assited, I would consider the banchmade 583 barrage. 3.6" blade. 165msrp. A highly underated but awesome knife

I just gave two to my son-in-law SWAT cop of 24 yrs.
The first one is the Lone Wolf/Spyderco/Emerson combo... has a Glock tool as part of the knife, and also has the Wave feature of the Emerson. His EDC.

The second is the ZT 0360 SKD, an assisted flipper designed for and built for law enforcement/military. A really great knife. You can get both for less than $300.
It has a glass-breaker also. I suspect you will like this one a lot. Quick to deploy, and pretty light.
Stay safe and thanks for your service.

This is just my 2 cents worth...The PM2 is too thin on the tip. You are LE, not a run through the jungle tactical guerrilla. You are much more likely to have to stop at a car accident, need a backup knife to a handgun, have to pop a security chain, and other such needs. If it were me, I would look at the Benchmade Griptilian and the Benchmade Mini Griptilian because they are inexpensive enough and they will take a beating. Also, since they have liners, they will not flex. The locks are very strong and this is important in a rescue situation. You can always buy different scales for them, later. The Griptilian would be good for duty and the Mini Griptilian for everyday carry.
If you get the Ritter versions you can quit worrying when your friends brag on their Stryders and Spydercos.
Another option would be the Cold Steel Code 4 or Lawman. These are tough knives. They may not be finished as well as a Spyderco but they are very tough and the Code 4 is quite slim.
