If you had $100, what would you buy?

I would probably choose the Spyderco Bow River. I’ve been interested in that one for a while. I’d probably use the remaining money on a Mora Companion Heavy Duty.

For about $12 more, the Reate PL-XT might interest you if you like button lock folders.
I agree with this right here. It’s an awesome knife.

Instead of buying a good knife, I would buy a nice steak and cut it with whatever silly knife they gave me…..if a steak is good, should be able to fall apart anyway. Top it off with a good glass of wine…..and dessert. If I had enough left over, a Case Sodbuster, Jr.

Still like mine. I like this spear point and wood handle, but I broke my nail opening it. A knife pick would help too.
They do have strong springs but will become smoother with use. The couple lambsfoot knives I use regularly have become much more pleasant. There are also a few things you can do to help break them in.

I like the stronger springs but it's definitely not for everybody.

Look at the otter messer rivet knife, it looks very similar, I have one, it’s a pretty big knife but well made and not a nail breaker, lots of snap and quite stout, but not difficult to open and I dislike nail breakers. The fluted bolsters are very nice as well, a touch of class on such a workhorse.

When I have a card like that I sometimes swap it with the grocery money and buy something you can’t buy with a CC. Like something here from the exchange. That will open up your options a bit. You could get a Deka, a Bugout or a Swisstool if you watch for deals here.

Ha. Kabars are 90 now.
I Remember when buck 110 was 40 at Walmart. It's 70 now
Yeah and it wasn’t even that long ago! (Maybe 5 years..?) My S30V/G10 edition Buck wasn’t much more than that…. Maybe $90 or so
