If you had 10K bucks to spend on knives.....?

Let's see...I'd finally get a Spyderco Karahawk and a Civilian, both knives I want but not willing to pay that much for. I'd fill out the missing pieces of my Becker and Ontario SP lineups, probably a full set of Cold Steel XHP Recon 1's as well, plus that new XHP Hold Out 1 with the green scales. Definitely some Condor stuff I don't have yet, a boatload of Imacasas and Trams. Definitely something in carbon fiber, not sure what yet, probably a ZT or Spyderco. Ron over at Traditional Filipino Weapons would probably wind up with at least 3 grand of it by himself since I want pretty much everything he sells...
 
I'm more interested in the $10 challenge. What 1 knife could you carry 30-60 -360 days thAt only cost $10

For truly $10, not a penny more; Rough Rider large Lady Leg... Their 440a gets wicked sharp and is easy to resharpen. Not too small, and I can still pop open a beer with ease ;)

Or one of those $4 bark River lottery knives another member scored would be nice.
 
Without a doubt, my first purchase would be a Blount Arrestor. My grail among grails. The one Im posotive Ill never own :(
 
So from what I'm seeing here is ppl who could finally afford a sebenza would get one, and everyone here would at least get an opined?...

10 grand will get you a lot of coke.

More of a weed guy myself, but, hey, to each their own.
 
This led me to look on bladehq,,, ok quick game,,, what are your guesses for the most expensive:
A: fixed blade
B: folder
C: overall

That would truly be one heck of an under $10 carry.

I cheated on the fixed blades. I figured some marfione or MSC would be at the top of their folder list but I discovered a really intetesting fixed blade.
Fancy looking piece. I dont know anything about the steel though.

Don't know too much about Rocksteads either,, just starting to research them. They do take ZDP-189 to some crazy high HRC that seems to be able to take some use that would otherwise chip a blade that hard.
 
I'd get a CS Imperial Tai Pan, a 4-Max, a Spyderco Memory, a Southard, a Ka-bar Swabbie, a Spyderco Sage 4, a Benchmade Adamas folder/fixed, a Mimravus, a Busse TGLB & Mean Street, a Cold Steel Pendleton Custom Classic, a Swift, an EK&T Companion, a Cold Steel Warcraft, an AK-47 Field Knife, a ZT 0556, a CRKT Hissatsu, a Fossil, and I'd spend the rest on an Edge pro Apex and other maintenance tools.
 
Only knives? I'd buy every Mcusta that came out. Wouldn't be that difficult to corner the market on them around here and on the 'Bay. Easy profits, and I would seriously enjoy the knives that I couldn't flip.
 
I would also get one of the special edition hold outs IIF somebody sold them.
Have found no dealers yet, no websites or places that sell those. Amazon has them listed as many other places but as far as actually selling them, no luck. Everybody sells the Hold Out II but I want the big brother in OD Green and DLC coated blade...
Won't you happen to know a dealer out there? Thanks!

I would not get a Sebenza. Don't like it in hand, and wouldn't want to spend $400+ on one even if I had all that extra money to burn. And I already have a couple of Opinels, good for what they are, but not something that appeals to me(for folders, I tend to prefer modern stuff, 1 handed opening, pocket clip), so I'm unlikely to get another.

To add to my list, I'd get a Benchmade. I don't have any of their stuff yet cause I'm just not willing to pay their prices currently, but with that much spending money, I'd finally get me at least one...not sure which, probably some combo of the Bedlam, APB, and/or Barrage, plus a Griptilian from the custom shop.

i think i know this answer. The lightsaber for 1mil. sold out though. Came across that about a month ago.
