well...FOOD, it has been hard living without it since I discovered Busse, then clothing, I haven't gotten a descent pair of anything in about a year (well not counting hiking stuff which I got good deals on.) Then women, and all the things I need to get them.

Basically when I'm about to buy a knife I'm thinking first "I'm not going out for so many days," then second "I don't really need to buy a new pair of jeans or shoes yet." And when I see a killer deal on exchange well, usually the thinking stops, and then I realize I have nothing to eat for a while.

How'd I do... knives instead of a Ferrari? Well, I did own nine Alfa Romeo's years ago... had a Vic SAK - and a Buck 110 - then. I drive a Jeep Liberty now... and I like my knives... and I don't miss constantly working on my Alfa's. Sure, it's a 'soccer mom's ride', but I don't care - it's reliable. So they laugh at me at the shooting range - call it a Nancy-boy car -who cares? I won't get my pinafore in a bind over it, that's for sure.

I never - ever - want to know what I have in knives - and bang-bangs. Let my sons have a laugh over it when I'm gone!!

My wife loves to remind me that all the money spent on knives over the years would've made a really nice downpayment on a motorcycle. I hate when she's right!
 
This is going to sound kind of crazy, but I always wanted to get into sky diving. My cousin's husband does it every weekend and loves it. I probably would have put some of my money into that. The rest of the money would probably have been used to travel to different places around the globe to jump out of airplanes!

When I wasn't jumping out of airplanes I'd spend some time doing some deep sea fishing.

When I earlier mentioned dope, I was serious. Knives (and modding) gave me something that kept me away from the nasty stuff. If it wasn't for knives, I don't know when I'd get clean.
 
I would have a bigger watch collection. Also more Antique cast iron Motorcycles. Both very expensive hobbies also...
