So let me get this straight.... you guys carrying large fixed blades work in an office

No restrictions in my office but usually carry a 4" GEC stockman and/or another practical slipjoint. There is an 18" Ontario machete nearby for when I go outside and do field work

Office today (tonight actually) is the jobsite so for this trip it's two of the best pure cutting folders I have: the Rat 2 and Delica.

Who says you'll need it in the office? What about on the way to work or on the way home? We carry knives (and some of us carry firearms) because we never know when we'll need to use them.

Yes (btw, I consider those to be small/medium fixed blades). Why do you ask?

I don't think it's crazy to ask if someone really carries a large fixed blade on them in an office environment. In my 15+ years working in a corporate environment I've never seen anyone carrying a large fixed blade, nor have I personally needed one.... but I understand that your mileage may vary.

See above. I'm not judging, just curious..

I have to lock the pistol in a safe at my desk but they let me wear the knife. I also have a Leatherman tool on board. I'm a civilian police office puke so can't be trusted with a gun in the office I guess, even though I'm the dept armorer. Never could figure that out.

Makes opening mail a snap!
