If you're a teenager, let us know!

As an old timer, I just want to say, I'm very glad to see some young people taking an interest in knives. I see so many people trying to open a box by punching holes with a pen, or trying to use a key to saw their way in, that I'm very uplifted to see young guys taking to and carrying mankind's second oldest tool. Good for all of you. Stop on by the traditional forum sometimes.

And why not lets have a look at what the younger people on BF has? Show us them blades man!
 
I was a teenager in the 70's.

I am happily surprised at many who are posting that they are so (relatively) young.

I am just as happy to see that these folks are able to communicate in such a way that I would never have guessed their young age.

I'm 16, glad to see other teenagers here :) when I first joined I thought I was the only one haha but then I knew some of them, but this is a cool thread :)

Not a bad idea! I'll try to find a better camera tomorrow and take a picture.
 
18 here, I've been hopelessly addicted to traditionals and anything sharp since the first time I saw my grandfather whittle.

I won't admit my age just yet (plenty old enough to own and carry pistols), but I am glad to say I have met some awesome friends on here in the years I have spent as a member. The best advise I can give is listen to the old timers and be attentive. I would have NEVER guessed how far knowing people on this forum would have gotten me looking back at things. The people here truly are great for the most part and take care of their own.
 
That, by any mean, is not quite modest for your age! Not with that tilt at least!

I modified the shallot and also a 710 (not in picture).

The 710 has anodized clip, hardware and liners.

I stripped the DLC on my shallot and anodized it too.
 
Real nice collection, I'm also 15 (16 in a month). I need to take a new picture of my collection soon. You know, because everybodys showing them off.

And how did you score a sebenza at 15?! I couldn't even figure!

I wish it was a ti millie, its a sage 2 that I anodized with a mapp gas torch.

The sebenza, I worked my a$$ of for that one. Took about half a year to save up for it then I found myself at one stop knife shop to pick it up.
 
I just turned 18 and I've gotta say that one thing i love is the fact that the adults and teenagers intermingle so well around a common interest.
 
Geez, there's whippersnappers here:)

The only time I wasn't a teenager was from 1954 to 1966 and 1974 to now:)
