If you are just browsing the production knives fs, what are the brand/brands of knives won't you even click on to look at.

lFor me it's Emerson, Sog, CRKT, and Medford.

SOG, CRKT, Buck, and in general Benchmade.

I'll click on pretty much anything else.

I tend not to look at knives that have moved portions or all of their manufacturing overseas. To me, the quality is just not what it used to be in those brands. Gerber comes to mind. Many moons ago they made a real quality knife for a descent price that a soldier could afford and depend on. Now mostly what I am seeing in pure junk, looks cheap, feels cheap so I consider it cheap and pass on it.

I won't check out the overpriced ones.

Overpriced is the path to the dark side. Overpriced leads to anger; anger leads to bash thread; bash thread leads to W&C.

There's something out there for everyone. For every person only interested in one brand (hermit dave/Cold Steel), there's somebody that wouldn't touch that brand (me/Cold Steel)
Honestly, even when I'm browsing to kill time, I won't look if there isn't a reasonable chance I'll find something to at least think about buying...right now, that excludes lot.

I'm relatively new to this and have less opinion than many of you. I have a bias for U.S. made. Will buy knives made outside the U.S., but more infrequently. Will generally avoid knives made in a few countries, including China. No argument - it's a personal choice and not trying to force it on others.

I also have a bias for smaller, local companies. Fortunately, I live in Oregon. :)

I'm with you. I'll look at(not necessarily buy), pretty much all brands. The only time I don't bother is when it's something like Benchmade's Gold class. I can't afford a $2,800 knife made with platinum and gold, nor would I want a $2,800 knife made from platinum and gold.

:D Its like deja vu all over again.

I look at the brands I like.
I don't look at the brands I don't like.

for me it has nothing to do with the brands but the features, quality and price. And as long as those boxes are ticked i dont care who made it. But because i really only collect bearing flippers, balisongs and otf autos certain brands i dont click on simply because i know they dont make anything i like. I think the only brands i absolutely wont buy from are brous (non existent customer service and suspicions of their made in usa claims). And quartermaster because of pretty much the same issue.
