If you're 'just browsing' the production knives fs....

I actually enjoy the selling process on the exchange here.

Everyone I've sold to has been great to deal with. Especially the last couple guys. Very down to Earth and polite.

Anyway , I glance at the FS section from time to time. And I only look at a few brands like Spyderco , CRK , ZT and maybe some customs.

I have absolutely no interest in brands like Cold Steel , Emerson or Benchmade.

I haven't purchased a knife from the exchange yet. But I expect folks to be honest, polite and reasonable in their handling of a sale. After all, you are their client. My list of "no interest" is much longer than yours. It doesn't mean these are bad knives, they just aren't for me generally. I don't have enough interest to even look at them. Occasionally exceptions are made.

I've learned not to "expect" anything when dealing with others concerning sales. Ya just never know what kind of person you'll get. But everyone here has been top notch.

And my list of brands I'm not interested in is much bigger than the few I listed. Those were just the ones that immediately came to mind.

Anything I can buy brand new for $100 or less is of no interest to me used just to save a few bucks.

I'd also have to add, I have dealt with over 40 members on the Exchange. I can honestly say every single deal was an absolute pleasure, except one. I backed out over the F&F BS. Notified at time of payment. That was not listed in the sales ad.

I only click on things that look interesting to me.

I hate F&F or add 3%. I always feel like they are nickel and dime-ing me.

Why not instead make a thread about the brands, you would click on.

Always with the negative waves, Moriarty.

Yup!! Also just love when they say 5 or even 6%!!

For the love of all things, just figure the PP G&S cost into your price. I really think G&S should be a rule of the exchange... half the posters don't even know what "NET TO ME" means or use it correctly anyway.

The price of a USPS flat rate box is easily obtainable. Cost of insurance if they request it beyond the included amount is also predictable. There is no reason for a lot of miscommunication. I for one have never had something shipped in a flat rate box lost and I have shipped some valuable things in them.

I had one get lost recently in a transaction here. It was a Swamp Rat M9LE I sold. Lost en route. For the first time I said "fuck it" on the insurance and ended up paying the price.

Zero Tolerance because I don t like flipper only folders and that seems to be mostly what ZT makes currently.

I've owned enough production knives, rarely look at that section. CRKT, SOG, Boker, Kershaw, anything "overbuilt" and or "tactical" are off my list. Chinese steel and S30V are off too.

This ^ along with the money order only request, or in the same vein as above the "net to me" phrase. Could be the deal of a lifetime any of these are in the post I'm out.

Well I won't ever buy a QRTRMaster knife. I have eight Emersons I plan on selling. All that I really want for my Birthday today is an Olamic Wayfarer.

Yep. Dislike this. Your net is your problem, not mine. If you need to net $xx, raise the price. For Pete's sake, if the $8 cost of shipping is going make or break the deal, raise the price or don't sell it. It also indicates to me that the seller may be problematic rather than trying to make things easy. Not saying all sellers who do this have bad intent, but it's an indicator for me.
