If you're on the fence about a bk15...

Since this thread started I have bought 3 BK15's. the third arrived Friday. I'm averaging one a month lol. Been shopping for a fourth and trying to stop myself! I want to check out the 17.

I totally agree since I purchased mine none of my other blades have gotten any use.

You read my mind. I was thinking of getting 8 and building a custom wood kitchen block. If they were stainless that would be perfection. Maybe you can use your pull with the boss to get a custom sprint run to celebrate the Fisk inspired design before they are discontinued. :thumbup:
 
I did some light batonning with mine and had no problems. The swedge above the blade causes no chipping or gouging on the branch delivering the blow. As long as you avoid knots or wood that is more than the blade can handle, go for it.

the leather sheaths are the 3/4 from Kabar?
 
Thanks y'all, Bob and I have used our 15's to clean several hogs with and various around the camp chores and they do well with that. Glad y'all like it. She cleans her own game while I sit around the fire. What a woman and what a knife to put in her hands.
