I'm back, finally. But prayers are needed desperately!

Prayers sent for the whole family. And they will continue. Stay strong
and don't give up. I know how this thing hurts. My youngest daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer two days ago. Hang tough things have to get better. :)

I hope this will be some consolation...

Both my cousin, and one of my best pals, have Crohns disease.
(actually, my sister's best friend also) It seems to be getting more common for some reason. All three of these people are between 20 and 30 years old.

I trust your granddaughter will be OK. I don't believe this disease is as serious as it might sound (i know it sounds horrible) once it is "under control". The ordeal leading up to the diagnosis seems to be the worst part.

There are new treatments available to make living with it easier. My cousin has had it for a long time, since he was a kid. He lives a perfectly normal, happy life, in fact he just got married.

I hope your granddaughter will be as lucky, and have a very quick recovery. My thoughts are going her way.
 
I'll add my prayers to the others, with the understanding that miracles are nothing more than a manifestation of faith. Where there's faith there will be miracles, even if we don't recognize or comprehend them at the time. Stay strong Yvsa, it's easier said than done.

A friend of mine has this, I'll see if she has any wisdom to pass along. Hang tough for your Granddaughter, she'll need it.

Wado Equa Uwinv!!!! I just called my daughter Stella to see what can find out.
She told me that although she couldn't give Jessica blood her husband Dallas can.
But for some damned reason the hospital won't or can't earmark it for Jessica.:confused: :rolleyes: :mad:
That's a wonderful thought and gesture Uwinv and hopefully it will come to fruition. Blood isn't cheap no matter what!!!!

Jessica is receiving more blood today. The docs in the hospital in Jacksonville Fl. are very cautious, or unsure of themselves.
They have Jessica on mild cortizone instead of the heavy duty prednisone.
Maybe they know what they're doing, but damnit Jessica isn't getting any better.
She's having another flare with her colon and is losing yet more blood!!!! Stella says that Jessica is really white and pale, and Jessica is normally a tad darker than I am.:(
The docs have Jessica on clear liquids as any food, even soft, is very hard on her digestive system and even on the clear liquid diet she is still having bouts of bloody flux.
There's an old remedy about a warm strong tea enema that's supposed to stop that, or at least slow it down, but you can bet the docs won't be trying it anywhere near soon.
The tannins in the tea are a natural stop bleeding help. When it comes down to any kid hurting or seriously sick I'm willing to try about anything.
It's frustrating for me to not be able to do anything to help her, very frustrating!!!!:(
 
Life is just not fair! As always You and your whole family will be in my prayers! Hang in there buddy! Chris
