I'm Back!!!!! Sort of......

glad you're back i missed you something awful!!!! glad the wounds are healing up. who are ya agian? lol j/k

Hell yeah graveyard sux! good to see you're doing good and you're back with us!

Welcome back man :).

The graveyard shift sucks, but at least you have a real schedule now. I worked alternating day, night, and graveyard shifts at work two summers ago. The change between sleep schedules every two weeks was brutal.

Good to see you around.

this means moar contests?

Wo0!!!!111!! Graveyard shift sucks.........

Personally I really like working graveyard shift where I'm at, but I don't have a family. Workings nights is just more relaxed, all the head sheads that don't know how to do your job aren't there to tell you how to do it.

Well, that squares the world up again. It was a little tilted with no Moose.

Welcome back Moose! Good to hear that you're doing better. I hope you get adjusted to graveyard soon.

Only advise I can give is keep a box fan by the bed. It makes sleeping when the sun is up a lot easier.

i like grave yard myself but i'm a rare type that can sleep in the daytime just fine.

This is one of the biggest advantages of not being here ALL the time. I didn't miss Moose at all 'cos I didn't notice he was gone!!

And just for fun, here's a picture of a KNIFE! (and some woodchopping...)

Prolly why this damn gout keeps hanging on like it is........

I feel your pain. My most recent bout hit me on Friday... Could barely walk, all weekend. :-(

(That, and I've got tendonitis in one elbow, and also in the non-gout leg. Getting old sucks, but it's better than the alternative.)

I would prefer the Sinatra Select over Blue anyday. I didn't like the Blue, and the Sinatra Select is straight from the Angel's Loft, so......

Moose

I like the Blue... just not worth all the money it costs... I think my taste is too burnt to tell any appreciable difference (ie worth the extra money) over JW black.. my favorite.for the cost of your sinatra select, or the blue, I could get more johnny walker black, the pinch, or dewars, or, if in a whiskey mood, 1792, or maker's 46. On the Canadian side, collingwood, or crown....

For me, I like quality spirits, but *I* just can't justify the additional cost for what I perceive is only a little better than what I drink. YMMV

but on the other hand, I have 5 fingers....

Doc

Moosie -
You're very likely going to need some therapy to de-sensitize that thumb. When the nerves are growing back you can get really weird sensations. Hoping all goes well and it is a very good sign that you are back to work.

I get........I call them shards of pain. I think a nerve will come online long enough to give me hell, then shuts back down. The skin on the tip from the injury forward is hard as a brick, like one big ass blood blister.

Saw the doc today, and he said its all going very well, he expects a full recovery, with some minor side effects. Like, not having a nail for the next 6 months, tenderness at certain points, and extreme cold or heat is going to hurt.

Also, was told to use a hydrogen peroxide scrub to clean away the dead flesh, and keep the would clean.

I was released back to full duty at work (yeah, right. I been full tilt boogy for the last 2 weeks) with just a light covering to keep it clean.

Looks good, I think.
