Yeah, me too. Seems my ortho surgeon is an f'in rock star, or at least getting a chance to meet him makes you feel that way.

No, they didn't even set an appointment for today. Here's to hoping for tomorrow.

Damn thing hurts since all the skin and nail come off. Real tender.....

Called Moose tonight. The damnable doctor's office is giving him the runaround.
If they don't shape up, a bunch of angry dudes with knives may show up for a walk-in. :eek:

Keep it moist and clean and bandaged up in the meantime, tendons and cartilage are rarely left alone if they are visible , and need to be covered up by at least some form of soft tissue. Hope your surgeon sorts this out.

I'm posting to inquire if His Mooseness was able to see his doctor today, and if not, what plans are being made to that end. I'd call but it is family time at my house so I respect it at others' houses. I am very concerned about this situation.
 
I think I saw somewhere he posted he wouldn't be able to get in until Thursday. When I was on the phone with him earlier I didn't think to ask, and he is getting ready to go to work now so it might be a bit before he responds.
 
I see the doc on Thursday, at 1:40pm (my normal sleep time).

I'm not a medical doctor... but his finger looked bad.... that white area looked like bone (Bad pic on my end).....with you saying you are concerned... I think he should be taking a proactive approach and demand to see his doctor soon

Long story short, yes its bone.

My doc say, basically "rub some dirt on it and get back in the game".

I am to keep it clean and dry while I'm at home and clean and covered while at work. Its not a bone shard, its the top of the bone.

The gear spline pretty much just pushed the bone up and pulled the meat down. Exposing it. Once the nail and dead skin came off, the healing has pretty much doubled up.

I have begun to regain most of the feeling, which sucks cuz it hurts more.

With out the nail there, the meat has already begun to wrap around the bone.

And yes, I did seek out my ortho ( my regular ortho surgeon) for a second opinion today. She said basically the same thing.
