I'm back

I graduated in May of last year and recieved my commission soon after. Since then I have been to training schools all over the country. East coast, west coast, Gulf of Mexico... you name it. Sometimes I wake up, go running, and think "Why isn't the sun rising over the ocean?"

Anyways, here is the skinny on me. I am currently at Vandenberg AFB, I was about 3/4 through learning how to launch Minuteman III ICBM's and the med group figured out that I am colorblind. It turns out that over a year ago someone somewhere, before I went to Langley AFB in Virginia, lost my medical files. When I came here to earn my pocket rocket nobody knew that I was colorblind.

After one 3 day weekend of partying I got a call late one night from my Captain telling me that he needed me in his office at 07:30 the next morning (but not in service dress). I arrived and soon I was sitting in my Lt. Col. Office, and he was telling me that I was going to probably be "Force Shaped", although he would try to get me a new job in a different career field.

Fast forward 3 months, I was informed yesterday that I now have 10 days to out process for seperation from the Air Force. I am still kinda pissed, but it isn't my fault that Congress works the way they do. Besides they gave me plenty of warning that this was coming.

Give me about 15-20 days and I will be back in Texas, I have some friends I need to visit on my drive back. When I get back to Texas the first thing I need to do is visit some of those Baylor Hotties that I used to teach Aikido to... I need to make sure they are keeping up with the proper technique... worst thing in the world is a sloppy technique. ;)

After that I think we should arrange something at the Dog & Duck, or whatever the name of that place was we went to last time for our mini-khukri convention. Won't be the same without Pappy though.

While I was in VA I learned how to grind knives from a guy who has been doing it since he was a kid. Since then I have been collecting supplies, except the 2 bader grinders, to do the same. I got some cool things I made that yall may want to see. :p

It really is great to hear from you Sarge. Hope to see you soon.

The dutch oven bit sounds good Heber, but I'd probably be a bit fidgety around all those nice young ladies that seem to gravitate to your campfire. ;)

Sarge

Sarge, if it makes you feel any better; my new apartment complex is full of those nice young ladies and they are really good looking too!! :D :D

Though I'm sure we could find some nice camping spots up the canyon to do some knife stuff and eating. ;) The girls here are drop dead beautiful but I dought many of them are into camping. :(
