I'm feeling horny!

Alot of us CKCA guys haven't been paying attention, LOL. I guess if we go on the CKCA forum often enough, we get used to the beautiful knives that can often be displayed on our homepage.

I just realized that this Johnson beauty fit right into this thread, but could someone please post the image via it's link? I don't have any access to do it.

here are a few different ones by a variety of makers

That is the one Bill i wish you would have got a single photo that was the most impressive handle material i have ever seen.

Thanks Erik, I thought that I had Eric shoot it seperatley at blade but couldn;t find the photo or the file.

Stephan -- as Roger mentioned it is by Brian Lyttle. It is ATS 34 with Damascus butt and is a full take down knife. Engraving and gold work is done by Brian also. It is probably the nicest knives in the hand that I own. Phyllis and I have about a dozen of Brian's knives.

would it be possible to get a straighter profile view of the blade, I am specifically interested in the clip and where it terminates towards the guard.

here is a picture of my ms fighter with musk ox handle.

Here's a shot of 2 of my knives. D2 and water buffalo horn from the Northern Territory, Australia. Made by me as an experiment--to see if I could do it!

I agree with you Doug. Beautiful piece in deed.
Very elegant design and clean construction Bill.

Bill, a beauty of a knife, topped off by and made even more wonderful by some eye-poppin' musk ox.

Doug, I don't mind at all as a matter of fact thank you for doing that.

Kevin and betzner, thank you guys for the kind words. I had a good time making this one.

For those that would like to know:

Blade length is six and a half inches.
the ricasso is wrapped in fine silver
the guard is nickle silver
the ferral on the handle is mokume gane made from fine silver and shakudo patinated with rokusho and chinese radish. and yes I made the mokume and the shakudo.
and of corse the handle is musk ox.

Thanks, Bill,

I hope others will follow your example and post more info
about their knives!

All the best,

That Johnson piece really shows off the translucence that Roger referred to. I think I need more polished sheephorn!
