Im afraid its not going to get better. This administration has put in anti gun people from the get go. If he can use the united nations he will do it. We got through clintons ban but this one im afraid will be different. No matter what is done. DO NOT TURN IN OR REGISTER YOUR WEAPONS. We are not austraila or britain and will not go gently into the night. Lexington and concord was a result of the british attempting to disarm the militia and arrest its leaders. The second amendment has nothing to do with hunting rights. Its the teeth to evevery other right we have.

Yup, they learned from that. Any new legislation will not have a sunset clause. The thing most people fail to realize is that the gun grabbers are ok with playing the long game, they excel at it.

Maybe not on handguns but it has every possibility of passing on long guns.

I have nothing else civil to add to this here. My vulgar Southern vernacular has left me in a quandary on what I am and can say in a family forum.....
 
Ok, well... I hope that everyone got their say in. Unfortunately, the tone from here will only get more political and and has already slipped into disagreements between good members, so I think that it's time to lock this.

I still believe that discussions of political topics will always bring the heat, which in turn brings the resentment...but because of the issue at hand that will affect us all in varying degrees, I let this thread go longer than I should and normally would.
Kenn44, I like seeing you here, so I hope that you continue to return. I know that you don't enjoy the politics any more than I do, so I hope that this thread hasn't soured you from participating on this forum. My apologies, brother.

Back to the bartender's rule... No politics, no religion.
