I'm going CRKT crazy!!!

Yikes those tolerances/quality is not great, but it is centered at the tip, is it centered at the pivot cause not looking like it in the photos. also the scales don't look the same side to side (the milling). I'm a snob apparently but I pay extra for high quality. I know it would never bother most people that get these, but maybe I'm just OCD.

The bright side to this is, he makes a custom and a midtech of the same knife. Where is crkt doesn't ever make anything but a low end version.

It's "high end" enough for me :)

Looks like a good knife GermanyChris, I've been tempted by it myself. You've got a great set of parents...did they give you the Irish for Xmas too?

I have an older m21 that is a wonderful knife. No complaints here!

I only have one CRKT and its a M21. I love the design but it doesn't get much pocket time anymore. I just wished it and other CRKT knives had better steel. Ontario found a way to put D2 in the Rat 1s for $40ish, I wish CRKT would follow. I'd even take VG10 at $70ish like the Delica 4. CRKT has some great designs, I just want a better steel and I'm willing to pay for it.

I am also a M21 owner.I've had this one for about 4 yrs now. The grey blade with black g10. My first was polished blade and polished aluminum handle. Got that one about 10yrs ago. I really like the flipper action and the Atuo Lawks system. Do they still use this? I do wish they could have used D2 and maybe 1095 would be a nice option. Anyways I liked it a little more than any coldsteels I've had, but haven't tried there newest carpenter steel
I have to add...CRKT does a great job of keeping the thumb stud out of the way when in the open position

Thank you, and yes the Bushmills was for Christmas too

The CRKT Crossbones sucks!!! The one I got had a blade that was slightly off center. It also had annoying lock sick(liner lock feels gritty). Then when I go to take apart the knife to fix lock stick, the pivot screw(torx) slightly stripped the first time I went to loosen it. They must have used loctite, now the pivot screw is marked up. It's typical CRKT quality control, that's why I usually don't buy any CRKT knives. For the money you really can't beat Spyderco's overall quality and materials used!!!!!!

CRKT would be one of the most popular brands on this forum if their QC wasn't nearly legendarily hit-and-miss. The designs are cool and the materials are acceptable - if they just had the assembly quality match the price point, I would have a number of them.

I will say that, however, their fixed blades are excellent. Probably because they don't have any moving parts. My personal favorite is the Sakimori, pictured below on the finest $5 walmart polyester throw.
