^haha don't get me started !Is the car wash protected by state of the art declassified security systems?

Much like the guy in a trench coat selling Rolex watches in NYC , I'd say previewing your new line from a paper bag in the lobby at Shot Show would be a clue.
Wow in this he looks like someone on drugs or dealing drugs or both.

I wonder how the retailers still selling Quartermaster knives can continue to do so when the company has apparently vanished ?
I would say old stock with the damage done to the rep I don't expect they have been flying off shelves for the past couple years. If they truly are done for I guess people can feel less guilty buying them as it is just helping vendors clear their old stock and recoup some cost.

Huh...at least now we know the number to call for warranty claims:confused:
I thought the same thing I would love to hear a call to him asking about a knife warranty someone go make that for us.

It seems Knife Center is still on board with the Made in USA scam ?

They are indeed. Though, in fairness, it's not so much that they are part of the scam as it is that they just don't give a damn whether their representations of the knives being USA Made are true. They've made it quite clear that they were happy to ignore the unambiguous evidence that they were being lied to. I'll never buy anything from them. No integrity.

Pretty messed up of them to be honest. They are saying to customers: we do not believe you nor do we care even if we did.

The only way I can describe Quartermaster and company is like when you get into a time machine to go check out the future, and then realize that you arent actually in the future...and all you can think is “this sucks.”

However, QMSTR may have been early on the future thing, since there stuff is pointy in all the wrong places.

Too bad the guy running the "company" had to be a lying sleaze ball. If he'd have just told the truth and said the knives were made by We they'd probably have sold well. Look at all the other people having them make everything for them.

Guys, I have personally been in the ultra-modern, super sterile plant. I have level 4 biometric access to all secure locations within and can tell you first hand, everything they say is true.
I have even been given access to sub-level 5. This is where they keep all the super alloy steels yet to be released the world under heavy guard.
Ive recently found out that my level 4 biometric clearance issued from Quartermaster works at AREA 51 as well. So I’m going to check out some new, next level, top secret alien tech. Catch you later.

Don't listen a word this racist bastard has to say...he talks out his ass.

Sorry, old post, I know, but I have skin in this game. I'm friends with Warren Thomas and have met and had many phone conversations with Jared West. I helped build the Quartermaster Vaquita mid-techs with Warren while I was apprenticing under him - probably the only legit knife that QM ever put out. I also helped uncover and spread the truth about his stolen designs and origin of his knives many moons ago. I don't believe for a second that the knives were even made by We - Mr. West is the kind of guy that would pick the absolute cheapest bidder that he felt could make knives that could pass as US made. Also, considering that I've never seen a We counterfeit, while QM counterfeits are still making the rounds... Is there any evidence that We was an OEM or is that just a rumor?

Check post #4 in this thread. There were pictures on Reddit. One sourced from Quartermaster. One sourced from WE. Both show a CNC machine. They appear to be of exactly the same machine. Not just same model. Same machine.

Interesting! Thanks for the quick reply! We wasn't really that established yet when QM decided to take a dump on the knife community so I can see that.

If anyone can find a Vaquita for cheap, it's probably worth picking up. Even though still technically a mid-tech, with the amount of work that we put into each knife, they're practically full customs - each blade was completely hand-profiled and ground from a blade-shaped blank and each knife was tuned and finished meticulously by hand - so a steal for the asking price at the time. I personally anodized the Ti on at least 80% of them.

EDIT: I wouldn't put it past Mr. West to either snake photos from the We website or by using a spider to steal unused photos in the same directory. Less likely, but still possible, he could have asked for a tour of the We factory floor and snapped pics then (I'm sure he was in China a lot, being that his father owned/owns Mantis). I don't know the whole story... We never claimed QM or anything right? This is based on photographic evidence?

It was a different time in the knife world. Outsourcing expensive knives in particular was seen in a much more negative light. WE was just another up and coming OEM that JW had do some of the better qtrmstr knives.

Jared was a grifter, plain and simple. But, where his skill did not excel in knife design, it was in marketing where he shone. Pushing his business on social media in such a manner was nearly unheard of at the time. It was all so believable at the time, until he could no longer keep it together.

Brown bagging it at the shot show lobby? Claiming his Texas McMansion was a museum and manufacturing facility? Then the WE photos came out, and the writing was on the wall. He took one last bit of his customers' money, and vanished.

What is interesting, is that I followed his ebay account. over the next few years, he slowly liquidated many qtrmstr (and other) knives through ebay.

If it makes anyone feel better - The qtrmstr instagram page he ran became the page for his next business venture. Didn't even start a new instagram account. He owns a car wash. He may not have a knife to sell you, but he can detail your car!
