The Traditional sub-forum gives me many hours of enjoyment each month, and I'm overdue to give a little back. I've taken a liking to the somewhat smaller jack and pen type knives, so in an effort to pass that along I'm giving away your choice of a Case Pen Knife 32087 CV, or a Case Medium Jack Knife 22087 SS.

I'll use a random number generator in about a week or 10 days to pick the winner. Your post number is your entry number. If you post more than once only your first post will be eligible to win. This giveaway is open to our overseas friends.

My only other "requirement" for posting: Tell us what your #1 all-time favorite traditional knife is. (Not limited to smaller jacks & pens - if it's a Buck 110 that's cool). Pics are welcome of course, but not necessary.

To start the ball rolling I'll tell ya my #1 all-time favorite knife (so far ;)) is the GEC Conductor. gec3:11-1.jpg What's yours?

Very generous of you Keith!

As of right now, my favorite is also a GEC, the #56 Dogleg Jack in antique weave jig bone. It always brings a smile to my face when I drop it in my pocket.

Thank you very much for the chance!

My #1 all time favorite traditional is my Case mini-Copperlock! I really like the single blade and the size is perfect for edc.

I'm in and thanks for the opportunity.

My favorite is this Camillus 712 four blade one that I actually purchased many, many years ago for my father, whom past away last year and I was lucky enough to find it. He never used it so it is new in box as it sat on his dresser!

Thank you so much for this very generous giveaway!

My favorite traditional is the Helle Viking. Perfect for bushcraft and camp chores, easy to carry and best of all made in Norway.

I liked it so much that I made a video about it.

I'd have to say that my favorite is my Queen Canoe. D2 steel, Birdseye maple scales. Single-spring slim, and a joy to use.

Thanks for the chance, Keith. Real class act!

I'd like to enter for the medium jack, since I already have an identical Pen model. It seems to me that after trying the GEC Conductor, you've lost interest in the humbler Case offerings of the similar pattern. I too, have considered getting a GEC Conductor, but I balk at spending the money after being a little let down by my GEC EZ Open Jack. (liner dents the edge of the blade)

Thanks for the opportunity, and it is good to have you around!

My all-time favorite knife is my Victorinox Super Tinker. I've tried dozens of different SAKs, multi-tools, and traditionals over the years, but I keep coming back to this one my wife got for me in 2003. Prior to getting this, I was a Tinker guy, but I always wished it had scissors, so I wouldn't also have to carry a Classic. So when my then-girlfiend, now-wife asked me what I'd like for my birthday that year, I told her "A Victorinox Super Tinker, with black handles." The poor thing went all over Krakow trying to find it, and I don't think they produce it with black scales. Finally, one guy told her they couldn't get one with black, but he could sell her the black scales separately. The Super Tinker now has many years' worth of wear on it. I removed the little keyring and used it as a tag holder on our Chihuahua's collar. Then, I ground off the nub that held the keyring, to smooth up the profile a bit for pocket carry. I dropped it once and broke the fragile celluloid scale at the end. I can't bring myself to replace the scales, even though I've got a new set of red ones in the box, ready and waiting. All those scratches have a story. It went from new and glossy, then the gloss was replaced by what I call a "brushed finish" and now it is starting to get rubbed glossy again, since I try not to carry other stuff in my knife pocket.

I like more traditional American designs too, but I always come back to the SAKs in general, and the Super Tinker specifically because the tools are dead useful, and the quality is always 100%. I don't know how they do it, but they NEVER turn out a dud.

This is not the type of knife we think of as a traditional knife, but you didn't say it had to be traditional. On the other hand, SAKs have been around for many dozens of years, so maybe they are traditional now too? :)

Thanks so much for the giveaway!

My vote goes for a Case Swayback Jack. I don't own one yet, but I've been dreaming about getting one and will very soon.

Thanks for the chance! My favorite is my scagel fruitport. Here is a pic I took while at my parents farm.

I'm in please. I think my current favorite traditional is the Queen Canoe in D2. Amber bone. Its a "largish" knife, but the shape and rounded contours help it hide in your pocket. The D2 stays sharp a plenty long time, and it has a certain aesthetic appeal - which I think is the whole point of carrying a traditional.

As I have noted elsewhere, I gave my dad one of these knives a few years ago, and he actually carries it.

Well, I'm glad to see so many folks are not meeting all the posting requirements. It gives me better odds. :D

Not quite sure where you're coming from with this comment, Jeremy. So far all the posters have met my requirement to tell us what their favorite traditional knife is. You indicated at the bottom of your first post that I "didn't say it had to be traditional", but if you'll re-check my OP I did say "traditional". So I suppose if I wanted to get technical I'd throw out your SAK. But I cast a pretty wide net as far as what's traditional, and SAK's are traditional to me, and you and all other posters so far are in. ;)

Thanks for the opportunity Keith! I have been thinking seriously about getting a 32087 CV. I am tempted to say that my #1 all-time favorite traditional is the Schrade Walden 708Y for sentimental reasons, since it was the last Christmas gift I gave to my grandfather before he passed at the untimely age of 60.

However, I don't really use it that much. So, I'm going to go with my recently acquired A.W. Wadsworth & Son sleeveboard pen knife. I love the french ivory scales, and the great craftsmanship that gives it such a slim profile. It practically disappears in the pocket.

Thanks you for the opportunity and congrats for the milestone. I'm gaining and should hold one soon.

My favorite is always the one I have in my pocket at the moment.;)

This Ulster is one fine beauty. It has bear trap snap and a beautiful shield and scales.

My favorite traditional is a Case small stockman in red bone my grandfather left to me. It's smaller than a peanut, but it has even MORE sharp edges on it!

My favorite over-all knife is my first one, the Buck 110. But in my book I don't even count that as traditional because I've gotta give my slipjoints a chance at SOME kinda crown.

I'm real interested in getting a GEC Conductor someday, too. Thanks for the generous give-away.

Im in got my new Hen & Rooster stag pen on me today . Thanks for the giveaway
