I have been trying to resist entering this giveaway but I can't take it anymore! For years I have admired the 22087. Something about the shape of the handle and the black scales just really draws me in. Just never got one for one reason or another. I guess it's just one of those things that I want but will never buy for myself.
Count me in, Keith, and thank you for the chance!
Since I started collecting knives about 5 years ago my favorite pattern has almost always been the Railsplitter. A friend from another forum introduced me to the pattern early in my hobby and although I do have several of them, I still can't enough. It's the shape of the handle that attracts me to it and I like any and all of the blade configurations. My favorite among them is this Northwoods Ivory Railsplitter Moose.
Then one day about 3 months ago I was contacted by Mr. Ken Coats. He wanted to let me know that a knife I had ordered from him was almost complete. I was plenty excited about the knife but when Ken sent me the work in process pictures I really started freaking out. I could tell by those WIP pics that this was going to be a special knife for me. Then came the completed pics and more freaking out on my part. The knife arrived on New Years Eve and it has been my constant companion since then. It ain't going anywhere either. This knife is worthy of the old cliche "They'll have to pry it from my cold dead hands".
I still like my Railsplitters a lot but they aren't my favorite anymore. Second favorite maybe but now this is Number One.
