I'm (past)due to host a giveaway - Winner is Railsplitter!

Thanks for the giveaway! Great options!

My all time favorite knife would have to be my avatar knife (a classic wooden Mora with a laminated blade).

When it comes to pocketknives, I would have to give the nod to the two blade Barlow pattern. It is just a pure classic!

GEC Dogleg Trapper at the moment, congrats and thanks for the chance

I'm a big fan of single blade slipjoints and my favorite by far is my little Queen Copperhead.

I really like my Case Peanut in stainless, although I wish it was CV. It was my first traditional and is a nice small size to bring along with a 1 hand opener.

Tough choice! Thanks for the giveaway. I would have to say a two bladed barlow with stamped bolstes. My S&M grandad barlow is a great one. The GEC all steel little barlow gets put in the coin pocket every day too.

Oh, man. Thank you. At this particular moment in time, it is the...it may change tomm, but right now I'm loving my little Remington Barlow.

Not quite sure where you're coming from with this comment, Jeremy. So far all the posters have met my requirement to tell us what their favorite traditional knife is. You indicated at the bottom of your first post that I "didn't say it had to be traditional", but if you'll re-check my OP I did say "traditional". So I suppose if I wanted to get technical I'd throw out your SAK. But I cast a pretty wide net as far as what's traditional, and SAK's are traditional to me, and you and all other posters so far are in. ;)

I thought there was something there about needing a back story, but I am mistaken.

Thanks for the GAW Keith.

I always seem to go back to the trappers. Whether full size or smaller. The lines and proportions of the model draws me to it every time.

Not an entry, but thanks for your generosity!

Just thought I'd share my new favorite traditional. I was lucky enough to trade into the 2007 Bladeforums traditional knife, a Canoe / Whittler (Cannitler) from Canal Street with D2 blades and mastadon ivory handles. Wow! It's something else, and I'm in love.

For me, it comes down to a mid-70s Case 06247PEN. Always feels right in hand and up to most any task.

Truth be told, some crappy, dollar store frost cutlery jack knife. It's held up as a good edc over the years.

If I do somehow win, just suprise me, I don't have any of them.

Keith---thank you for the opportunity, it's very generous:thumbup:

My all time favorite and sentimental knife is this Case I bought at a local hardware store when I was a very young boy. It's a Case 62087 2 blade jack and the pocket worn look and feel is all earned over some 40yrs of on and off (mostly on) carry:)

Thanks again for the chance!!!

Not an entry, but just wanted to say how much I enjoy reading threads like this. The GA is wonderful, many thanks. I had the same Pen a couple of years ago, nice knife and a great EDC. It would have been perfect for me but the Yellow CV Peanut was already there. The black medium Jack is like the first knife I ever had. Pestered my folks and got to choose it for myself (Proud moment for a little boy). I am on the road to getting another since the original was lost long ago. In the spirit of the thread, my all time favorite is the Case/Bose SBJ I have in green bone and SS. Placed my order as the pattern was released, never looked back. Thanks again and good luck to all who entered.

Thank you for the chance... I´m in!

My favorite, right now, is definitely the GEC #66 Serpentine Jack. A great shape and a great knife with the two blades. More is normally not needed. Already my favorite for a couple of weeks!

Kind regards
Andi

I'm in, if I may.

I've two favorites. One's the first I bought for myself- a basic Schrade Old Timer stockman, worn from years of carry. Sucker's been to 15 states, Canada, a National Jamboree, weddings, funerals, ORs, ERs, Masonic Lodges and all points in between. Second is a Remington Scout I was given some years ago as a birthday present. A previous owner put a healthy chip in the master blade, and I let it be as a collector piece for a few years. A few months ago, I said to hell with it, sharpened it out, and carry it. The stories it could tell.

Thanks for the chance.

My favorite is a Sodbuster - all makes. The shape is so pleasing.
