I'm trying to get my first CRK *PHOTOS PAGE 5*

Back in college I "donated" plasma twice a week for a total of $85 per week. It took about 45 minutes per session, and you just ended up being thirsty and a little tired afterwards. Nothing a few beers couldn't fix :)
I still have a scar from plasma donation. I used the money from my "donation" for weekly beer and cigs!

So, where do you guys suggest I purchase this knife from? I'm looking for short handling time and fast shipping. I've used sites like BladeHQ in the past with positive results. I've also been looking at the list of authorized dealers. Is there a benefit to using an authorized dealer over another dealer? Throw me some opinions. $13 away.

I've ordered knives from Knifeworks and KnifeArt and have been very satisfied with both. I'd definitely order from an authorized dealer (list is on the Chris Reeve website). My only other requirement when I have ordered is to look for free shipping when possible. Most that sell Chris Reeve knives do offer free shipping.

BladeHQ is good, if you are still dead set on a new one I would go with them, but there is a guy others have ordered from who is supposed to be better.

If you went the used route you would have one already. :D

I get what you're saying, but if I'm going to shell out anything near this amount of money, I'm getting it new. To me, it would be like spending $49,000 on a used car which sells for $50,000 new. $13 is just too close to not get a new one. I'm just too stubborn to use my own money. I want to be able to look back and say that I didn't take one penny from bills or food money. It's just how I like to do it. I've got a safe full of guns and I've never spent money from a paycheck to buy them. It's just my thing :D

I sent in my check for a small sebenza yesterday. Now I have to exercise considerable patience until it arrives. There aren't many things that actually cause serious lusting on my part, but getting my first Chris Reeve Knife is certainly one of them. I had to sell some moldy old U.S. Savings Bonds that weren't really earning anything at all, and aren't nearly as satisfying as a first rate pocket knife.

That Mnandi is creating a real itch too, and I may spring for one of them, ... next year.

I have been lurking here for several weeks and have learned a great deal from you guys. Thanks!

I love Blade HQ, they've always done me right. But, I get my CRK's from Travis at Edged Specialties. He does add a small shipping charge, but that's offset with his good prices, complimentary maxpedition case and grease. Plus, he packs them like a pro and his communication is top notch.

I've sold a pair of shoes, a couple cheapo knives, a printer, a keyboard, a cell phone, an Elliptical, and cashed out a change jar. That brings my total to $597. I've done what I set out to do.

Not quite yet ..... mission will not be complete until that Sebenza is in hand!! Congrats .... looking forward to seeing what you worked so hard to acquire!

I think you win! Thanks for the good laugh.

You definitely will appreciate it when it comes after all the hard work you've put in. I have many high end knives and the sebenza is still on of my EDC favorites.

Awesome!! I say Blade HQ. They are top notch people.
But with the extras you get... sounds like you should go to Edged Specialties.
I went to my local shop and definitely paid a little more than most.
But it was worth it. I didn't have to send out a untrackable M.O. and I got to take it straight home with me.

Congrats! You will love your Large Plain Jane Sebenza 21. I had a choice of several but went with the Plain and I'm happy with my choice, as I assure you that you will be as well. =]

A well deserved Congratulations!! You have worked hard, done well, and certainly have earned your new Sebenza.

You will not go wrong with either BladeHq or Edged Specialties. Both are top notch in every respect.

You will soon have your new Sebbie in hand. Then the fun really begins!! :D

Agreed, bladehq is my go to for everything besides CRK which goes to Travis.

Well, it looks like I'm not going to be able to take advantage of the great sale knife works.com is having (I could get a large Sebenza for $390) because PayPal is retarded. Apparently, all funds sent to PayPal during an eBay purchase are put on hold until they decide to release it. While my balance far exceeds the amount needed for my Sebenza, only $253 of that is available at the moment. It's a serious pain in my neck.

I've got some big news. As I'm typing this, I'm lying on a bed/couch thingy in the hospital next to my new baby girl who was born yesterday. Also, I just sent a payment to a fellow BladeForums member for a Large 21 Insingo! It is bnib and at a great price. I couldn't resist.

Exciting news about finally getting your hard earned sebenza but especially the news of your new daughter. Truly...congratulations!
