Well, actually, I meant more the small pockets, for things like cameras or flashlights. I see two inside of yours in the pic, but wondering if there are more, and how many the XL has
 
There are two against the back of the first divider, and one on each side of the front division. Those are my only pockets on the inside...besides the false floor. There is enough space in the inside-side pockets for multitool, flashlight, ipod, etc... I use them to carry pens and some other stuff.
 
Those are some sweet looking bags. I've looked at them in the past and managed to talk myself out of buying one, My padded Filson laptop bag is still in good shape, but leather is just too cool...
 
OK, I broke down and ordered one of these. It came today and I love it. Actually, I ordered a few since I couldn't make up my mind, but just to see them in person. Two are heading back tomorrow. I decided to keep the large size. I felt the med was too small, and the XL was too big and heavy for my taste and needs. The large is just right for my body and use.

Between the leathers, I didn't want the lightest color, but I didn't want black or burgundy either. I tried both their dark coffee and their dark tobacco. The dark coffee leather is darker than the dark tobacco, and has a different feel to it. While the dark coffee is smooth and richly oiled, the dark tobacco is softer, more supple, and has a bit of knap to it. They smell different as well.

I decided to go with the dark tobacco leather, as I prefer the lighter color and the leather type.

These bags are awesome, and I'm sure even more awesome as I break it in and it softens. I'll post pics once I get a chance. Thanks, Jason and Dark for your reviews! :thumbup:

Here's the quick co-worker pics from last week's trip. Figured I'd use him since he's 6' and let's face it I'm in the minority at 5'5". According to him he thinks he's around 180lbs, though I would challenge that fact and think it's significantly lower.


He wanted Roger Rabbit over his face, but quite frankly I'm lazy and the circle of darkness will do fine.

I'm thrilled with it after her first two day trip. It only took one hop to confidently say i love this bag!

Yeah, loaded to the top in both the front and rear compartments. I meant it when i said thank god I didn't order the size large, LOL One of the best equipment upgrades I've made in a LONG time. I'm emailing SBL a set of photos, and letting them know how much I've enjoyed their bag already.

Besides, I have to order the clip-on pouch to have it delivered next week :D

I'm glad you're enjoying it. Seems like there will be a bunch of those bags on Hogs very soon now. I wonder how many will have them at Blade...

Btw...that's a great idea you had for the strap. Too bad you couldn't get one in good leather...but I guess that would defeat the purpose. You're gonna be glad you have that on there this coming week.
