Impact resistance of a Coote grinder

You got a choice: get rid of the neighbors or work out a new layout for where you stand.

another hundred thousand and I can buy the place outside of town, 2 acres out in farmland with an old stable for a shop space.......

Jesus! Man I am glad you are alright. You should install some of those concrete posts around the perimeter so that next time you can just point and laugh instead of having to rebuild. Good luck picking up the pieces. ©

Just think how bad your neck is hurting right now. That will get the money you need. :) Just kidding Back when I was in EMS I would see them grabing thier neck when it was even hard to find a wax smuge much less damage.

But now the comment about the srop sign was funny, I am still laughing about along with Andy's comment after it.

Oh, I know. And it's been brought up in the house a few times. This is the SECOND time. We *could* sue at this point, it's been well over 18 months since the first time. Without any personal injury.

But I can't bring myself to do it to them. They've offered me cash to fix up the shop stuff, and I'm happy with that. Can't bring myself to play LosAngeles Lotto (insurance suits).

We were heading down to DC in the rain and my friend did not like the look of traffic bunched up ahead of us so he slowly slid over to the right and slowed down.

Immediately a big station wagon blew past us and skidded into the bunched traffic, bam bam bam bam bam. One car hitting into another, and all of them pulling over onto the median.

The driver of the station wagon who did it all got out clutching his neck ...

its a church
just ask them nicely to put a few steel poles in on the edge of there parking lot and ahve them fill them with concrete

i bet they are ok with that and them have them bless your slow computer/you and your email for saving your but :)

I can understand about not wanting to do the whole insurance settlement bit...

I lived in Korea..and I know their standards for safe driving....which is basically anytime you make it home alive...you did fine.

What you gotta ask yourself is....who are they gonna hit next?

Or how many other people have they boughtt off to stay driving?

What if they kill some kid walking across the street next time?

You got a chance to stop the BS now....

I also guess you gotta ask yourself....if it came down to it...how would you explain not dealing with this to some parent who just lost their baby...

NOt trying to make a judgement of you or your thinking...

But I know I could not live with myself if I knew the possiblities...and the PROBABLILITY that it will happen again...if not to you then to some other poor schmuck...

Sorry...just my 2 cents.

Shane

Glad no one was hurt i'd be rearanging where i stand to grind. That brings a whole new meaning to keep your back to the wall.

One time is an accident, twice is something else. I know you're not a target or something but if it's happened twice it'll happen again.

BTW, I work for Hyundai in Alabama as a test track driver for quality control... you don't have ANYTHING to tell me about Korean drivers.

Glad everyone's all right and by the looks of that car they can afford to help you out some.

It looks like I see some reflectors in the bottom right of the 2nd pic. Did they also run over/through a trailer before making it to your shop?

Glad to hear you're alright!

Glad your OK. I second ya on the not liking the lawsuit crap. Hurry and get it all set right.

Looks like the Coote's is OK!! Maybe have the pastor of the church park his car on that curb.

I would re-fence with a series of power pole cut-offs
Glad you OK
They oughta buy you a new KMG for emotional damages

When I was stationed in Japan I got tired of the using the blinkers because every time I went to signal I would turn on the wipers. Driving on the other side of the road was very frustrating. So, my girlfriend always yelled at me when I didn't signal, "Winka, Winka! You no use Winka! Why you no use Winka?!?!" She was a fun gal.

Sorry to here about your incident. Hopefully someday you'll laugh about it.

Well, Jessica was JUST taking the boyo to his workshop, had just walked out the front door to get him on the trailabike. I wasmessing with email and our 2 year old daughter was playing train in the living room (clear view) and WABAM!. So My first reaction isn't to be pissed, it's to grab a tool and run out front to see- and they are fine, both looking at me like I'm crazy, and so I go out back and.... there's a car in my workshop!

I was pissed for about 30 seconds, but I have a mantra for these situations. "I'm not the one in the T72" - Every day is a bonus day after the desert, and it's just stuff. I would have been more pissed if the grinder had been smashed, since I would have been out of commission for a few weeks instead of 2 days to build a new table and square everything up. But not that much more pissed. Maybe 90 seconds.

Your self control is beyond amazing! I salute you for your mastery over your passions! My condolensces on the shop and the losses, but hell, in the end it's just stuff, at least your kid wasn't in the shop helping dad like my kids do sometimes...

Damn, glad you're okay! Sorry to see the shop damage!

I'm with lazerboy, it may be an optical illusion, but it really looks like the back end of the car is on top of another car or trailer.

So what in the hell did they actually do to end up in that position?

edited to say that I looked at the pics again and realize that's probably a trailer being used to haul the car away. *redface* LMAO :D
