I agree... great thread with many fantastic knives. Thanks for starting it.

I think that A B is one of the Kastor & Bros knives from the late 1880s to very early 1900s.

This one here is one of the very few MOP's that I carry in my EDC rotation.. She is one stout slippy that stands up to the abuse I dole out.

A very sturdy late 1970's Fight'n Rooster..

A rare Muskrat pattern from Fight'n Rooster circa.. 1977

Hmm.. I was quite shocked to discover that at the moment I have no German knife in the drawer.
This will require some head-hanging-in-shame.

But hey, in honour of the season, a pic of me and The Missus from last year's Oktoberfest. Not too visible but there is a Camillus MIL-K in my apron pocket.

Thank you navihawk....this one is but it's older, not sure about the new ones....good question, hopefully someome else will tell us.

I've always known the older ones were. Yours says solingen right on the shield, right? Always wanted to pick one up from Smokey Mnt.

Yes it sure does, and the reverse side of the main blade is tang stamped Solingen Germany.....but sure would like to know the answer to your question as to if the new ones are still made there....it's a good question, one I'm sure someone here will know the answer to. Thanks again!

Here is nice old World's fair souvenir knife. I'm a little surprised that a knife for this sort of event was not made by a US compnay. AJ Jordan was a St. Louis based importer of German and English knives at the time.

Regular panorama on those handles s-k:D

Nice smooth wear too like an old coin, what is the metal? Aluminium? Pewer?

:eek:smiling-knife I continue to be blown away by your collection!
The pound must be doing much better than the dollar....but then again,
what's not doing better than the dollar these days!:grumpy:

Keep 'em coming, some beautiful knives there, and what a story they could tell too!

smiling-knife please shoot me a note on my email, question for you please that I should keep off-line...thanks.

I'm enjoying this thread as well. And I also really like that last one S-K.

I just can't get a good scan of this gunmetal knife. In real life it's pewter colored with the design in silver. Looks unused. Henckels put a lot of different designs on this pattern. Never noticed the stove pipe kick on the secondary blade until today.

This stockman has seen its share of pocket time:

I've got a half whittler with the same etch on the main blade but in better shape and maybe older.
