In honor of the other Hinderer thread...

Yeah, us Rangers and Habs fans have it tough..... :(
'93 for you as I recall...

When I was in my teens in the mid 60's, I'd go to MSG and watch the Habs and Rangers in the original 6 days. (Then see us lose to the Habs during the playoffs...great days nonetheless.)

I wonder why all these modern framelock knives specifically always go for 20CV or M390. What is so special about them?
I just got my first knife in 20CV, a Yojimbo 2, after loving the Yojumbo. I have a UTX-70 in M390.

Longer lasting edges while remaining stainless is appealing, in short.

People look down on S30V/S35VN, for no good reason because M390 has more edge retention, mostly. Part of the reason M390 is so popular (including Chinese and Russian knives), is that it's made available by Bohler-U affordably. You'll have a hard time finding a Chinese 20CV or Cruwear knife, for instance.

Here's my garbage dogs...

I buy those too. I’ve got gobs of Kershaws and Civivi’s and Kizers and…

Some of my favorite knives are $50 Chinese knives..

He builds about the toughest folders i've ever seen. Built to to take abuse, and come back smiling.
(CRK might be a close second...)

I've never owned a Hinderer, tho I've seen and handled a few. Well made knives, just more than I wanted to spend, and not really my style, I'm primarily a fixed blade guy. But, if I were to find myself looking at over-built folders with less regard for cost, a Hinderer would probably make the short list.

Don’t have to spend big bucks to partake in Hinderers. The Kershaw Cryo is $45 and it’s one of the more popular Kershaws.
