If I were to give knife presents out, this is the knife I would give. It is a beautiful knife for the money. The blade locks up solid, it seems very strong, it is incredibly sharp, great blade geometry, what is there not to like?

It will go with me to Mexico because if it is lost I won't cry...but I'll buy another one :D

I have three Ka-Bar/Dozier zytel folding hunters, including one with the thumb hole. Great knives. One of my knives is autograph-engraved on the blade by Mr. Dozier. I carry one of the three at all times. They would be a bargain at three, even four, times the price.

these knives are a nice little EDC and won't break the bank if broken or lost. Hold a great edge and easy to sharpen on the sharp maker

If anyone is interested in one, you might check these out. This is who I bought mine from, 16,700+ sales with a 100% rating on ebay. Starts them at 16.99 with a buy it now of 18.99.

I couldn't find a better price online when I looked.

And for the record, this seller is not me nor do I get anything from them. Just passing along info' on what seems like a good price.

I have been told by several people in the know that this Kabar Dozier designed folding hunter is the best value in the knife world at this time and after reading these reviews I tend to think it is high time I check it out for myself.

I read the other day that even Bob Dozier carrys one of these folding hunters as his EDC. So that alone should say a whole lot about the quality of this knife.

It is on my list of knives to purchase for the 2005 new year. Unless of course it shows up in my stocking.

I have one. Every time I grab it I am amazed at how good a knife it is for so little money.

Found a review of this series of knives at the link below. Very good photos. There's also a link to an eval of the BM Pika line.

That's my review, Ultrastick. There are other reviews and pics I've done. Nothing fancy, no blades stuck through cardoors or cutting manila rope.
:)

I'm a knife newbie still, though my addiction to knives has quenched my SIGaddiction for now.

Hey agony, I read your review and noticed that nobody verified this.. I believe the number beneath "Taiwan" on the blade refers to the model number, not the steel.

This is a great knife to buy and give away to non knife nuts...

You read my mind, I have lots of friends that are in the reserve and guard, and for about 13 years now I have always given a good knife to them when they are deployed overseas. Usually I give SAK's when they go on peaceful stuff, but I have been looking for a good "cheap" folder for those deploying to hotter places. That's one of the reasons I ordered one for myself to check them out as a contender.

Mine arrived in the mail today, (actually I got 2 knives in the mail today, SWEEEEEEET).

First impressions WOW.....this thing is an amazing knife, and at the price it is awesome!

I definetly have a new "gifter" knife, NOT this one however, I am keeping it for ME!

fit and finish a overal quality is great, when I hold it it's like it becomes part of you arm.

UNDER $20.00 bucks!

If you are going to give it away don't use it. They cut like thunder and it makes it hard to part with them. I bought 2 and can't seem to part with either of them.
