We know there are a lot of great custom and production knives out there and some have a hefty price tag to go along with them. Keeping it under $30, post your favorite cheapo beaters.
Here are my picks.

I agree on the SAKs, Ontarios and Moras.

No experience with the others shown.

I think given a little more time I will add the Condor Rodan to the list. That knife is growing on me.

My new favorite beater, the ESKABAR. $30 and it can take all you can dish out. I love it more than all my others at the moment. And just FYI, all my knives are inexpensive beaters, I can't afford good customs, yet. I'm wanting/working towards a Fiddleback Hunter, and that will be my first custom knife. Moose

Moras are definitely my favorite beaters; my friend and I ordered some SanRenMu knives to see how well they fare

The Buck 110 usually tops my list of bang for buck knives.

Great pics guys. I am really liking my Moras lately, they are seeing alot more duty.

No pics, but here goes

Cold Steel Finn Wolf, Mora Triflex, Victorinox black alox pioneer, Victorinox blue alox farmer.

My favorite beater blades are easily Machetes and Moras for fixed, and an Opinel folder for folders.

Will try and get a pic next time I clear some of weeds from my yard

Damn the ESKABAR is out now? I haven't seen them on the Ka-Bar website yet.

Old Hickory are great knives. I used to like to make shorter ones out of the bigger ones for the thicker steel :)

i'm just wondering where you got a SwissBianco OHT with StayGlo scales for under $30.

more importantly, where do i get one? :D

bearthedog is that old hickory a 7 inch butcher knife? Nice looking blade.

You got it.

I've had mine for 6 months, since it's out, I might as well post pics now. I wasn't sure on the price so I didn't post pics of it.
