Inexpensive, hich quality, U.S.-made EDC

How is the lock on the Skyline? I love the look, size, price, and country of manufacture.

The lock on mine is great! One of the best liner-locks, especially for a really thin knife, that I've ever had!

I ordered my Skyline shortly after reading this post, and I love it. Mine also reads "1 of 500" on the blade. Why is that?

I wish it wasn't there, but no big deal. Great knife!

They are only expensive if your top dollar is going to be $40 to $50. Otherwise they are a heck of a good deal when you consider how much knife you are getting, and this includes fit/finish, materials, and warranty.

A good deal is not always about how inexpensive the product is.:D
Jennifer is a cheap ass.

For those who can compare: how does the Skyline stack up against the Boker Trance (or Boker M type) or the Browning Ice Storm, which are among the best knife bargains I have come across? None of these are US-made, but their general quality is in my opinion a benchmark in the price range.

From the pictures, the Skyline looks great. I like the fact that the liner lock looks substantial, thicker than some liners I have seen. Looks like it would stand up to stress.

I guess that I could live pretty well if Kershaw was the only knife maker on the planet. Production knives anyway.

I love the posts on the Skyline. One fine knife. I would love a satin or high polish blade but I know it would add to the cost. BTW, I have found the steel on my Skyline 13C26 to be an excellent steel.
