As if it wasn't enough that Busse and their knives are so good, and that the forum is such a great place, the Hogs I met this weekend are really what make the addiction so awesome.
ZMBHNTR was kind enough to let us hang out for a few days on his beautiful property.
I got there a day late, arriving Saturday afternoon. Getting out of my car I look over at tables, plural, of knives. I could hear the guys whacking away at some logs, so I got my hammock set up as quick as I could to go join in the fun.

I made my way over and the tables were set up like this.

The rule was, if it's on the table, feel free to use it,,

Over at the chopping logs, there was even more

It was almost overwhelming, to be able to just pick up and go whack away with any of these incredible blades. Want to test some hawks and axes side by side? Go for it

Want to try a Battlesaw against an ASHBM and an 1111? Grab em and go

Looks like a fantastic time! Hope you guys do it again in the future when my health will allow me to attend. I've been thinking about the get together all weekend wondering how it went. I'm so envious of those who were able to attend.

All I know is that somewhere on a mountain in WV an entire black walnut stump is wishing the tarp was grey and there was more Damn Budweiser.


The weekend was just what I needed and I loved swinging the INFI and meeting all of those great HOGS.

Look at the pictures of the tables together, YOU WISH YOU WERE THERE.

Zombie assassin and Willic, you were missed.

Legal eagle with sidekick, rcb, resin guy, zmbhntr, and my buddy made the weekend.

A huge thank you to Breavis, Resinguy, Legaleagle (and his dog Tulsa), Anthony, and rcb2000 for making it a great weekend in WV! Thank you for the great attitudes, stories, distilled beverages, great food, and vast quantities of INFI you were fully willing to share. My friends and family though I was a bit off my rocker to invite a bunch of strangers to my land to play with knives, but my gut instinct was correct; you are all great people that I would not hesitate to have at my property anytime. Zombie assassin and willic you guys were missed, but we certainly understand that life (and most oftentimes women) can interfere with even the best laid plans.

The weekend was a success, and there will be more of these camping trips in the future for those that would like to attend. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

I made that myself, it still needs a little work. The handle is stabilized blue buckeye Burl.

Can't thank you enough for the invite Zmbhntr. You have beautiful property and appreciate you sharing. Tosa has not moved since I pulled up to the house to unload. She got worn out hanging with all of you.
Great pictures guys. Glad you got a shot of the pineapple upside down cake. Rcb brought some hoglishous food, and that was the cherry on top.
Got to use a MOAB for the first time, and tried out the Battle Saw. Any weekend in the woods beats a weekend out of them.

Looks like you guys had an amazing time! WOW that is a lot of knives Great group of people too. I'm glad for the those who made it out there

I really wish I could've gone, but alas, school prevented it. (I'm told graduating high school is important.)

If you ever host another one of these trips, I'll do everything I can to make it.
