I guess we do have the troll to thank for bringing up a good thread for the new guys. That isn't something you would have to search out. Unlikely that you would just happen upon it I think.
 
I had a similar experience a few years ago, but without need of extrication. It was night time, very dark. We came upon a just happened accident. My wife, a nurse, tended to the victims, whilst I used my always present Surefire to warn and slow down traffic. All ended well.

The point is, there is not time to "get ready" for an emergency, you simply need to "be ready." And, when it's least expected, you're elected.

Jerry, glad you had the tools you needed on hand at the time of need. Many don't. Good thing YOU were the one "elected" in this case, as you were equipped to handle it.

The story is cool, and I had not read it before the troll shot his mouth off.

It just goes to show why I always carry a Busse in my Bag, if not on my person. Never know what kind of crap might happen.

As to the name change thing, I think you can give someone a custom title under their name for $10?

Just a few things...

(1) I have also stolen the "dancing troll". ;)

(2) Jerry's story was alright but not as good as the one where he single handedly takes down a UFO with a Flying Tiger.... Or what about the time when he used a straight handled BM to upright an overturned semi. ;)

(3) I have to say that our dear troll perhaps did more to promote the SJ by his post than did the original post by Jerry.

Geeeeeeezzzzzzz. I wonder why I have this urge to go buy an SJ all of a sudden. ;):D :rolleyes:

You mean I bought these due to a BS story? And to think all the abuse I've put a couple of these things through. That must have been fake as well. The prying must not have happened. All that slicing before it even needs stropping was just a figment of my imagination. Boy was I duped. :D :rolleyes:
