So my LCD TV showed up today a little before noon. but it was missing the three screws to attach the base to the TV. 15 minuets with Sony tech support later and...

BTW, I know that English is not your first language and I'm guessin yer name ain't really "Kyle". I don't mind being helped by someone not in America, but be honest about it.

This reminds me of a story....
(of course nearly everything does now days...benefit/curse of being semi-old)

I listen to American Family Radio on my morning and evening commute for my day job. My brother things I am a religious zealot/nutbag, but that's a different story. Ron, one of the two wacky morning DJ's, told this story.

Ron called tech support to get help with his computer and a guy with a significant accent answers and states that his name is 'Joe'. Ron stated that in order for him to help, he needed to establish a level of trust and needed to know his real name. The man stated "You will probably not be able to pronounce it." Ron told him to give him a chance. "My name is Hadji." Ron replied "Oh, oh!! Hadji, just like in Jonny Quest!" Hadji replied "I do not know this 'Jonny Quest' of whom you speak, but you have prounouced my name correctly."

The story is, of course, much funnier if told in an Indian accent. So make sure you do that when you read it to yourself.

So today is a good soup day. Here is some potato soup I just whipped up from scratch. It includes bacon :D The BK5 did all the hard work.

I have a guy going to make me some custom scales for a SAK, i just have to pick out which sak i want to have custom scales made for.

The scales might be box elder burl, maybe acrylic, maybe zebra wood, maybe birch root... I havent decided yet. first i need to pick out a SAK. I have a couple SAKs already i might just send him my Wenger.

Are the victorinox better than the wengers ??

Doesn't really matter at this stage of the game. Victorinox acquired Wenger in 2005. Probably equal in quality, just pick the style you like.

Doc

BK-5's are lots of fun in the kitchen.

I haven't had potato soup on ages; that looks delicious.

Hey Dubz, what pouch did you have on your 2? I know Derek went all fancy and had his custom made job done up. I'm not looking to have to buy a 3d printer to make my set up though.

That actually isn't a bad idea... When they get a bit cheaper in price maybe... I'll have to store that in the archives somewhere.

ESEE pouch.

So, I sold off one of my pistols and I went shopping... I think I did good. (RocketmanDane on Esee's forum sent me a box as well) so without further ado today's "winnings":

And finally, a KME

Nice, C-Bear! Maybe you can reverse engineer those lanyards I sent you and make a couple more with all that paracord. What Kind of stones does the KME use and what grits came with it? Just curious. I finally ordered one of the new style DMT clamps for my aligner kit (the original maxed out at about 1/8") and the one stone I was missing so I'm not getting anything else at the moment, but that KME looks like a nice setup. Actually, I'm still looking for the convex stone and the serration rod for the aligner, but they seem to be available nowhere separate from a complete kit.

If you can get over Bob, Tom and Chick's laughter I think this applies.

Just so y'all know a future becker head will be born soon we are at the hospital now awaiting his arrival.
Congratulations!!! Though shouldn't you be attending to the missus or something? I don't think I'd be here talking to you now if I hadn't been there with my wife during labor! Probably wouldn't have a 2nd kid either, if I was still alive.

Made a rez for a cabin next month. Big 6th versary coming up.

I asked one of them one time from a computer/printer manufacturer about a printer issue (initials are Horse Patrol) why he was using the name "George" when I knew there was no way his parents named him that. He said that when he went to work there, he was "assigned" the name "George" for when he was on the phone to people from the US and "Kurt" when speaking German. He said that the people that worked non-English speaking countries (such as France or Germany) had been assigned names associated with that language, e.g., "Pierre" or "Marie" if they spoke French, etc. He said that Management's reasoning was to make the customer feel more comfortable speaking with them (name pronunciation).
