So my LCD TV showed up today a little before noon. but it was missing the three screws to attach the base to the TV. 15 minuets with Sony tech support later and...

BTW, I know that English is not your first language and I'm guessin yer name ain't really "Kyle". I don't mind being helped by someone not in America, but be honest about it.

Go get a variety pack of standard machine screws. Mine ended up being 10-24's in about two inches long. Got a deal on my bedroom flatscreen and had the same issue, no screws to attach to the base. Ten minutes of trying out different screws and it was an easy fix.

Congrats Warrior. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Thanks man. I love doing these kinds of things with my wife. Going back to southern Illinois, in the Garden of the Gods area again.

Just so y'all know a future becker head will be born soon we are at the hospital now awaiting his arrival.
Congrats man! Hopefully (for the wife) it doesn't take too long!

Nice, C-Bear! Maybe you can reverse engineer those lanyards I sent you and make a couple more with all that paracord.
That is a DAMN good idea! I have been trying to decide what lanyards to do since I have SO many knives that are missing them now (notice the tweener picture, only two have lanyards)

What Kind of stones does the KME use and what grits came with it? Just curious. I finally ordered one of the new style DMT clamps for my aligner kit (the original maxed out at about 1/8") and the one stone I was missing so I'm not getting anything else at the moment, but that KME looks like a nice setup. Actually, I'm still looking for the convex stone and the serration rod for the aligner, but they seem to be available nowhere separate from a complete kit.
The KME uses either ceramic (this kit) or the diamond (pricier one) but I have done just fine with the ceramics. I have been wanting to get the diamonds but so far haven't had the need to.

Someone received much Love.
Half the love was self loving, but someone had to!

Made a rez for a cabin next month. Big 6th versary coming up.
Awesome man! Congrats on the anniversary AND for getting the cabin.

I think they had them at Target, if you don't mind getting your info stolen.

Might have to try that. Looked at a few websites and all of them wanted $3-4 for each screw and it would take 7-10 days to get to me. Best buy had them online with expedited shipping for a total of $34! I have a handful of screws and nuts in my tool box so I might check and see if something fits and if not just get a variety pack.

Tried to find the actual size online but nobody knew. They only had the part number. The pic of the screw on the different sites is the same, just a regular machine screw with a small washer and a black coating.

I knew he had a history of mental issues. I didn't know he was rehospitalized.

This is interesting to me: Jantjie said he was paid a $85 daily fee for appearing at the Mandela memorial.

South African government minister Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu said in a press conference last week that most qualified sign language interpreters charge $125 to $165 per hour and speculated that a junior official might have opted for the cheapest quote.

I had to interpret for two congressmen that were at a building dedication in St. Louis, for interpreting for them, two "nothing special" congressmen, I charged $100/hr and I was there for 6 hours. The $125 they still would have been getting off cheap!

According to parcel tracking, it looks like my new BK 15 enjoyed Massachusetts so much that she decided to spend an extra couple days there...

This reminds me of a story....
(of course nearly everything does now days...benefit/curse of being semi-old)

I listen to American Family Radio on my morning and evening commute for my day job. My brother things I am a religious zealot/nutbag, but that's a different story. Ron, one of the two wacky morning DJ's, told this story.

Ron called tech support to get help with his computer and a guy with a significant accent answers and states that his name is 'Joe'. Ron stated that in order for him to help, he needed to establish a level of trust and needed to know his real name. The man stated "You will probably not be able to pronounce it." Ron told him to give him a chance. "My name is Hadji." Ron replied "Oh, oh!! Hadji, just like in Jonny Quest!" Hadji replied "I do not know this 'Jonny Quest' of whom you speak, but you have prounouced my name correctly."

The story is, of course, much funnier if told in an Indian accent. So make sure you do that when you read it to yourself.

I have a million of those stories.

I know many many Asians, I help them to learn English.

One of the 1st things that nearly all Asians do, is pick an American name that they think sounds pretty

I knew a girl once that simply told me to call her "Lilly"

I've got a knife that's been camping out in ohio for a few days myself. Christmas....

I haven't had any issues with packages taking detours but most of the time when I order from the river they sure take their sweet time getting it out of the warehouse.

Congrats RE!

Always a good idea to keep a variety of... fasteners handy.

He said that Management's reasoning was to make the customer feel more comfortable speaking with them (name pronunciation).

Typical management thinking; let's solve a "problem" that doesn't exist. Likely dreamed up by some marketing nitwit desperate to come up with anything to justify their own salary. It's not working. No one buys it, it's just annoying.

Yeah, that always works out so well! Good work ain't cheap, and vice versa.

Evening all! Well, my work year is at an end, what a day. Hot, sweaty, greasy and covered in wood dust is always fun! :p Come home, mow the lawns, shampoo the carpet and clean one of the fishtanks, busy day! How are y'all doing?

Just got word of the HQ of my new(first) employer where I'll be stationed. In an office 20-25 minutes away from me. Winning. It'll be nice when spring arrives, then I can go by bike.

Ok Trade your turn :)

Congratulations, Dubz. I think it's great that you are married to someone who enjoys doing those sorts of things, and doesn't mind (actually participates in?) the knife thing as well. I'm sure you consider yourself lucky, as you should.

That's weak Psyop. I do it between two four wheelers through a standing corn field wearing nothing but a welder's helmet.
