That is a DAMN good idea! I have been trying to decide what lanyards to do since I have SO many knives that are missing them now (notice the tweener picture, only two have lanyards)
Alright. Now Imma have to do a video tutorial. Should turn out great and be really easy to do, given my AR tendencies towards accuracy and the fact that I've never done one before.
Half the love was self loving, but someone had to!
This is NOT the appropriate form for talk of "self-love" as you so euphemistically put it.

Tried to find the actual size online but nobody knew. They only had the part number. The pic of the screw on the different sites is the same, just a regular machine screw with a small washer and a black coating.
My guess would be to start looking in the metric section, say M4 or so. I'm sure you've already thought of this but if there's any way you can take in the part of the stand that the screws gozinta.......

I haven't had any issues with packages taking detours but most of the time when I order from the river they sure take their sweet time getting it out of the warehouse.
I haven't had problems with USPS and their Priority Mail, but as you say, retailers (not just the big "A") sure as shiznit take their time packing and putting stuff into the mail. Is everybody else that's having problems with the USPS paying for expedited shipping? I find that if I choose the lowest price (i.e. free) option then I get what I pay for.....once it was 3 months for a pair of skis from the 'bay to come from Alaska. Still only cost me $15 bucks (vs. $50 for tracking and speed). Got such a great deal on the skis that I didn't mind. Much. I was relieved as hell when they finally showed up - I'd given them up for lost. Every carrier has these problems; UPS just LOST entirely an order of monogrammed towels for my kids' swim team. LOST!

I have a million of those stories.
I know many many Asians, I help them to learn English.
One of the 1st things that nearly all Asians do, is pick an American name that they think sounds pretty
I knew a girl once that simply told me to call her "Lilly"
.....I'm not gonna touch that one ;)
Typical management thinking; let's solve a "problem" that doesn't exist. Likely dreamed up by some marketing nitwit desperate to come up with anything to justify their own salary. It's not working. No one buys it, it's just annoying.
It's often not a managerial decision; I work with a guy from China named "Kenny". I think that Americans are partly to blame; most, if they find a name unfamiliar to them, have a hard time remembering it. My wife has this problem all the time, because her name is a one-off dreamed up by her mom. It's simple enough, a sort of amalgam of a more common name; but still, no one can pronounce it (even after she tells them how) or remember it a week after they've met her.

Just got word of the HQ of my new(first) employer where I'll be stationed. In an office 20-25 minutes away from me. Winning. It'll be nice when spring arrives, then I can go by bike.
How many minutes by bike? ;) I thought only Americans measured distance with the incorrect units...

Some companies are better than others. I placed an order with KnifeWorks on Wednesday afternoon. Forty-nine minutes after placing the order, I received the tracking number. Of course the Post Office didn't pick it up until the next day, but the order was in a box with shipping label affixed in under an hour. And this was using their free shipping option. Kudos to Roger and the crew.

Only people from the NE, in my experience, talk distance in terms of minutes. 40 minutes up there may be a mile and a half, whereas here in Texas, that could be 50 miles.

Well I sent a message to the company asking to cancel the order for the screws for my tv but later I got an automated notification that they had already shipped. If I cancel now I'm out the money for expedited shipping so I might as well just wait for the "official" screws to show up this afternoon.

Does that mean that you have a hard time twisting off beer caps?

If so, you may have a problem.:D

Nice work. Is that oak?

hold my beer

It is my first attempt at an inlay. It turned out ok but I just meant the whole needing a sheath for a beer opener ;)

Yeah, I think we knew what ya meant. No, I don't see a problem...after all if there were a problem, you'd have the opener handy for the solution! Although I have no idea whatsoever why Ka-Bar needed to put that twisty opener into an otherwise perfectly functional bottle opener; if you can't get a twisty off with your forearm, then you shouldn't be drinking anymore.
