mrn8, you talked me into it.

I have one too its been a good knife. I have had to take it apart a few times and add locktite.

My name is indeed Todd GSO. However, there's a long standing joke that I'm not gonna take the time to explain, basically, you can't expect most of these fools to remember there own name let alone MY name. So, I say as long as it starts with a T, that's close enough.
My name is Todd, but all my friends call me anything that starts with a T.
Who's this imposter? Pay no attention to Tramayne.

It holds an edge well but is tougher to sharpen. My EDC is a ZT0350 (s30v blade) and I love the knife but I actually don't like S30v much. It may take longer to get dull but it takes 2-3 times the effort to sharpen or you can sharpen it as often to reduce the effort. I like the stuff Kershaw uses in most of their stuff, 8cr13mov and the like. Holds and edge well enough and I can get it shaving sharp in a couple minuets.

I once sharpened somebody's s30V blade and wasn't bothered by the effort, but then I put entire edge bevels on new A2 blades for fun.

I'm not a huge fan of the chinese steels' reputation, though certainly some are quite serviceable in their price bracket. I'd put 8cr13mov up against most 440c any day and likely not bother about it either way. I have two kershaw's (both JYD's) in whichever Sandvik steel they use, but haven't put them throught their paces. I love the larger knife.

Yes, in reply to the model question. It's the Vantage Pro S30V version. I think there's also a model in 420HC.

Just curious. What's gotten loose on it?

So "Tyesha" then?

I just sharpened my ZT0350 and another kershaw the other day and from roughly the same level of sharpness it took considerably more time and passes to get the s30v to shave hair. I had to actually put pressure on the knife as I ran it across my sharpening rod to get it to do anything. I wouldn't say it's a bother or a chore, still didn't take a super long time, but between the cost and performance I'm not crazy about s30v.

So does this mean I have a problem

Yeah, the problem I see is no Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Ale sitting next to the opener. :D

On another note, I dropped some stuff off at Goodwill today and decided to stroll around and see if I saw any potential project material.

I was extremely surprised to see a bundle of 3 of the 5-gal paint stirring sticks used by Derek in the strop making thread on sale for 99 cents. I mean, come on, how desperate are you to put a price on free stuff?????

My BK15 came in today. Wow, this thing feels better in hand than I could have imagined--really impressed thus far.

I'm just happy his name isn't Mike.

Derek: "Where'd you get that knife?"
Me: "Mike Hunt."
Derek: "Did you wash it off before you used it on the bacon?"

Guyon, were you aware you have the largest Tata Hunt collection outside of Indiana?

I thought you was on a anniversary trip.......Shouldn't there be some Bow Chicka Wow Wow going on instead of being on the computer talking to us? :D Damn Dubz! Go for it brother!

There are screws under the scales. They seem to loosen up. Also the ones on the pocket clip but they are real easy to get to.
