Injury Pics

Man ... you gotta warn people before tossing up pics like that! Yikes. How's your hand now?

What were you expecting with a title like "Photos - Injury Pics"

It's like when they put a warning on the cup that a coffee might be hot.

i just found out i cannot be in the field of work where it deals with blood, thus dr's, nurses or hospital work!

While I absolutely can't handle looking at pics of wounds, for some reason I've never had problems dealing with wounded people at car accidents. I guess it must be the adrenaline or something.

Cut the front of my thumb almost completely off with a mora clipper about a year and ahalf ago (from the top of the pad down to the joint) wrapped it up drove to the ER... 17 stitches set her write as rain though... I did't take pictures though as my wife was already screaming about all the blood on the carpet.

that is what is called a penrose drain, what you are seeing is both ends sticking out it goes under the flap of skin to keep blood and fluid from accumulating. it is a thin walled rubber tube, comes in different sizes. this is a small one.

^ thats a latex tube shunt (drain). Injuries like that require FREQUENT draining of the yucky fluid, the shunt or drain assists with that task

EDIT. hahaha, ALCO beat me to it!

Oh, OK. It looks so nasty and unclean, like a wrist bone sticking out the wrong way.

A 60 grit ceramic belt running on a 1750 rpm 1hp motor doesn't give anything back!

damn! i hate belt burn like that! i'd take a clean flesh slice over belt burn anyday...comes with the trade though.

i never think to photograph my knife related wounds...too busy cleaning and patching it up asap, i did get this one in 2007 on my camera phone, went to hospital because I could see the knuckle when i separated it, didn't want to lose one of my most important assets to infection setting in the joint...sat in the ER general admissions 6 hours, just as I was meant to be seen they said it would be another 8 hours so I said forget it and left. Since then I patch just about everything up myself that I deem not too serious (i have since got a senior first aid certification).

Buck model 119 was the attacker...had way worse since that, and only one needed stitches so lucky in that regard. Looks like nothing compared to justabuyer!!!

Worst cut I've ever had from a knife looked almost exactly like that, except it was on my index finger. Came from my Izula, got sloppy while cleaning a squirrel.

I get a small prick once a year or two.
