International RAT Pack orders

This is another useless post ... been jumping down the stairs to open the door to the package guy ... and he had a huge package and I tell him: what? only one? and he goes wtf: this is large ...

(I know the RatPack knife can't be here before Wednesday, but still - I'll be pestering that guy all week, for I know I'll get another amazon package tomorrow ...)

Whoooohoooooooooooooooooooo!

Guess he didn't want to be pestered any more, today he had a package from RAT Cutlery ...

I'll open it in a minute ...

edit: man that thing is cool - downright cold ... due to being in the van all morning I guess ...

i'm to impatient,

got a spyderco manix 2 coming, 3 esee dogtags and the rp knife

i'd love it if they arrive all on the same day :D

The RP knife should be there any day now. Most stuff coming into Europe will come via Frankfurt, so there is a certain chance that you get it tomorrow ...

One cool blade. And I never had a full tang knife before. Feels very good and solid. The handle fits my hand perfectly. I decided I won't need a larger knife, as I do have a chete (needs some work, but it's there).

I think I'll dig out my old scouting knife before I take a photo ...

Thanks to all involved for making that happen. Wonderful knife, and I love the black and orange ...

waaah, i still dont have it, im so excited, can't wait to get it. i hope it indeed gets here tomorrow.

Very cool old knife ya got there.... looking forward to a better shot of the pair when you can.... Scouting knife? As in girls scouting or as in Marine Recon Scouting...? :)

Yay! Glad you got yours. I'm just surprised it got to Europe before I've received mine in Canada. Hope it arrives today.

That did surprise me as well. Customs did check it out, the package had been opened and resealed with customs tape. But apparently they just wanted to know if that's a legal knife in Germany.

sure looks like it ... gonna have to check settings on the camera (though I must say, this camera just doesn't grow on me ... too much automatic stuff that isn't working the way it was intended)

Digital cameras are much like computers... they do what you tell them to do, not always what you want them to do.... :D

girls scouting
we don't have boy or girl scouts, we just have scouts ... several different organisations, but most of them are boys and girls (though the groups tend to split into boys groups and girls groups after the cup scout phase, to come back together when they are all around 16 ...)

Sounds very cool... I never did boy scouts (not commenting on the girl scouts) but I wish I had. The problem I had with it here is that my boy was disliked by the den leader, so he had a heck of a time getting any badges... he lost interest as a result. :( The scout knife looks very cool....

wow, I mean, you can't like every child, but you have to remain fair if you want to be a scouts leader ... in the organization I was in, we didn't really do badges, you just had to get to a set skill level to move on to the next stage, to earn your scarf, so usually when more groups were doing something together, one of the leaders or of the older scouts came up to you and asked you about knots or about signalling or ... so nobody had to rely on one person to advance.
Often you didn't even see it as a test, just an opportunity for rehearsal.

But that was our local group, and that has changed since. They are way more formal now.
