International RAT Pack orders

My rp arrived in the Netherlands:).

But customs are taking a look at it:grumpy:.
They probably like Rat knives:p.

So i have to fill in a form and send it over to them before they will send the package to me.Will take a extra week or even longer.
And probably want to make some money out of it and gif me an extra bill:thumbdn:.

Stupid customs:barf: (taxes)

That sucks ... no way to speed things up?
(I feel glad right know, that we have our local customs offices, so you can go and take care of the formalities there, and they hand the stuff to you ...)

The guy in Australia gets his before mine. No fair, they're ALWAYS supposed to get the shaft. I hope you at least charged him twice as much.

Yes, it looks like the tables have turned.:D Maybe I did have to pay more though...

I havent got mine yet either bro. Poor BC'ers hehe

I imagine there is much bigger mail traffic between us and the US then between Australia and the US. I think we will be lucky if we receive anything before Christmas.

I got mine today. Disappointingly the handle feels very cramped for me. I was expecting it to be like a full sized izula, but it's almost more claustrophobic.. Guess I'll try it for awhile. Shouldn't be hard to sell to another Canadian if I can't get used to it, and its not like we didn't get a good price.

That's a joke right?

I'd say I wish it were, but I like to think I'm funnier than that. And dont look at me like a heathen, If i do sell It I'll probability get an rc-6 instead. This isn't really the place for a review, but It's just squeezing all my fingers together in places I don't want them to be. My fingers just turn into an uncontrollable fist. The izula lets your fingers kind of float off the end. a 3.5 finger knife if you will, but the RC-3 doesn't because of the pommel.

The risks of buying a knife without having handled it. Can't say I fault them, I can see how it would work nicely for people with smaller, or even larger hands. I'll take it out and play this weekend, I really want to like it, maybe it's just not love at first sight. Hope everyone else likes theirs as much as I did until I put it in my hand.

Edit: Jeff I noticed that postage was more than we were charged. So I'd like to give you one last thank you. I know there were cheaper less timely ways to ship it than EMS. Also marked down and listed as gift

That's too bad man. You've obviously got some big mitts there! LOL. The RC3 and 4 fit my hands perfectly. My RC6 on the other hand (no pun intended) has a huge handle and is not the most comfortable for me.
Doesn't really matter though as I didn't buy the RP RC3 to be a user but more of a very limited edition keepsake from a great company. I know "HEATHEN!" but whatever. If I want an RC3 user I'll buy a regular one. My fave is the RC4 anyway, it's the perfect size for me so if and when I need a fixed blade it's the one I go for.

Also, IIRC there was a post made by Jeff and/or Katie about people re-selling their knives to non Rat Pack members so I'd look into that first before selling it.

We have to fill in a form and send it to the custom depot.
Mail is at its busiest right now so it will even taken longer:(.
I hope we receive the knife this year but wouldn't be surprised if it's going to be 2010;).

You did have the same problem some time ago with the gifted izula?

You mean of it being frowned apon? I can understand that as far as people buying them just to sell them at profit. But I was seriously considering amputating a finger for awhile. I'll make dinner tomorrow with it and see how it goes.

It's so preettyyyy

Yes, but the customs depots are pretty much local - I had to go to the neighbouring town, but thats pretty close, so I just called what info and proofs they'd need, grabbed my pile of papers, and all formalities got taken care of within half an hour.
I could have faxed them all the info, and they'd have had the post service to collect the fee upon delivery, but going there was faster ...

I love mine even better, it arrived when i was in school
Got home and there was a box on the table :D

The rp rat is in the house:D.
Did take a long time but received it today.
The year 2009 has a good ending;).

Did not even use the rp rc3 but its already my favorite rc knife:).

Thanks for everybody who made this rp knife possible:thumbup:.

Hey Jijoel, did Customs still stab you in the back $$-wise or did they just need to know the exact contents? I have an RC-4 at Schiphol right now so I might be in for some nailbiting as well.
