Introducing Tiger Claw Sharpening

Taking pics is half the fun of having knives! Thanks for the vote of confidence and I will strive to keep learning and developing the skill.

I appreciate the feedback. I shudder to think of the carnage of your kitchen after you are done using that knife tonight :tyrannosaurus:

If you can, snap a few shots for the "Fiddlebacks and food" thread.

Yeah those Romaine stalks don't stand a chance!

I thought you folks would appreciate this new edge on an old knife from my personal collection. Steel is 1095.

I like it

When I first started getting into Fiddlebacks I thought the patina was something to be polished off. Now I am beginning to understand how a knife that changes with you and bears the marks of time and use can add sentiment.

Adam Andreasen used to apprentice under Andy, but I did not have a chance to handle one of his blades until today.

This one is a Valkyrie Knives Rhino. It is 4" of 01 steel dressed in bocote with green liners, shown here with a recently applied mirror finished edge. Nice and heavy blade... Feels like it wants to work!

Hey everyone,

One of our fellow community members, Warrior108, contacted me about getting some gift card options set up for the holidays. I thought it was a great idea and decided to take it a step further to build up the brand with a website. It is live as of about 10 minutes ago. Feel free to check it out. Testing and constructive criticism are always welcome. There are healthy doses of Fiddleback knives in the galleries!

The address is: http://tigerclawsharpening.com

Thank you, Heespharm!

As a note to other users here, I have made some adjustments to the service fee structure on the original post in this thread in order to mirror the site. Cost essentially remains the same for the knives I have worked on before. For new knives in need of re-profiling or thinning, there is alternative pricing to account for wear on the stones and the time it takes to grind the blades down correctly.

Since most users like a toothier working edge, those will remain priced the same. An optional service is now available for those requesting edge polishing up to the 10k grit level.

Thanks for your continued friendship, support, and business.

Now go buy a Fiddleback ...

I bought two this week and as soon as they arrive they'll be headed to you! Plus a half dozen others likely.

I'd love to see your collection one day. Most people here have great taste in knives and that certainly holds true in your case.

During the early 90's I underwent a major relocation and lost 2/3rds of my collection. When I was gifted the Takeda 6 years ago my love for fine blades was rekindled. All this to say you are seeing my collection, 4 or 5 at a time. And I'm adding monthly.

Im sure most folk's here on the forums know of the talent Jarrett has with bringing a dead/retired knife back to life. Well I'm here to tell you Jarrett really has a gift for it an does a phenomenal job at a fare price. My story is like most here I don't really know how to sharpen a blade an the few time Ive tried I messed them up. So I got in touch with Jarrett and sent my Benchmade Darkstar to him and he brought it back to life. It was my favorite folder and I had to retire it and put it to rest as it was so daul that it wouldn't even cut butter anymore it was really that bad. So the point of this story is if you don't know how to sharpen or touch up your knives get in touch with Jarrett. He really knows what he is doing an does great work. Thanks a lot again Jarrett Chuck
