It seems like the HEST folder stold the Izula folders thunder, but is anyone still excited about the Izula folder coming out later this year?

I know I am excited about it even though there isn't anymore talk about it since the anouncement of the Hest folder.

I'm excited to get a new EDC either way. I hope they both come out around the same time so I can compare them better. But I think I'll go with one or the other... can't really go wrong at that point. ;)

To be honest I'm slowly leaving folders behind all together. I agree the Hest folder right now is over shadowing the Izula folder. Hopefully Izula will come up in it's own right.

I am stoked for it! I resently got my ESEE 4. I wanted the Izula folder first, but they were not out. If it comes out at a good price I will have one for sure. From the pics on the ESEE site, it is a very good looking folder. The hest folder seems useful, but not very good looking and it is too expensive for me.

I'm already in for a HEST folder, but am still looking forward to the Izula as well. It also looks like a great option for EDC and I can see either one of them replacing my Kershaw.

Lates,

Connor

Very much looking forward to the Izula folder, I think it will sell faster than they can make them for sure.

To be honest I am not very excited about the Izula folder, but that knife has great lines. I dream of a boning line of heavy duty fillet knife for cutting up game.

Heck yeah man. The HEST folder is sweet, but a little meatier than what I like in a folder personally. Looking forward to the Izula, we shall see.

I'm holding off on the HEST folder...want to see the IZULA folder first. I have a benchmade griptillion for EDC...so It will take a top notch folder to replace it.

Yes! I am holding off upgrading my EDC folder until that baby comes out... again, anyone have a better time-frame for the release?

I'm holding off too. I already have so many knives I can't use them all, so waiting isn't hard. The hard part will be deciding which one to buy.

you guys gotta a MUCH longer wait on the IZULA folder, you know that, right?

several posts here from Jeff over the last few months have mentioned it's all still in the works, but there have been some snags.
It's still coming, but the timeframe is not anywhere near the HEST - which is set for end of year on LE versions and then later for regular ones.

BTW - I'm stoked for the IZULA folder too...but Im not waiting.
I've got an LE HEST/f coming, even though I don't trust folders much.
But a HEST folder in hand trumps two Izula folders in the bush, etc...

I'm definitely excited about the izula folder. It looks like a sweet knife! The only thing i wish is that the frame would be titanium (I'm pretty sure it's steel). I would gladly pay whatever extra it would take for it to be titanium.

My understanding was that the LE and regular production were being released together in early to mid December. Nothing was ever said to my knowledge that only the LE's would come out around this time. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Very interested in it, no fixed blade carry in California.

I've lived in Cali my whole life and it is legal to carry a fixed blade. It needs to be out in the open and there is no written size limit as far as I know, but I wouldn't get carried away. The only time this changes is when you head into a big city like SD or SF. Most large cities have their own laws on fixed blade carry, so you need to check it out depending on where your going. I really liked it MUCH more when I was still active in the Marine Corps as I could carry just about any damn thing I wanted to.

Semper Fi brother!

I believe they said that the LE ones as well as the ones that have already been reserved by the different dealers are scheduled to be available in Dec. 250 LE and 1st regular run if I remember correctly. Additional runs of the regular will follow later.

MSRP pricing is up on our web site. Some of the dealers are already pre-selling these now.

INITIAL CONCEPT / FINAL PRODUCT FINISH AND MINOR DETAILS MAY CHANGE
At this time, all photos are rendered concept photos. Production prototypes are due to ESEE/DPx in September. Once we receive these prototypes new photos will be emailed to all the dealers.
