Is anyone still excited about the Izula folder?

Anyone else prefer to see the izula folder in titanium? Full stainless steel frame will likely be pretty heavy.

Frankly I'd prefer a non steel or titanium handle all together. Metal handles make folders way too heavy. Also, if you live in cold conditions, metal handles blow real hard. In my eyes, the point of carrying a folder is that it is light and easy to carry. I think metal handles on a folder kind of defeats the purpose, I'd rather just carry the Izula... probably be lighter, even with the sheath and cord.

I sure hope they make this thing with an ambi lock, I really don't like that limitation.

I really like the functions of the hest folder but I enjoy the clean lines of the izula. But it's probably going to come down to the hest folder and an izula 2 placed somewhere else. Both knives are going to going to be stellar and built handle.

+1

Izula ;) the length is perfect for the limit here as a edc got to leave the big boys at home :grumpy:

I think it is gonna be neat folder.

I also think it will be several months before it comes out.. like sometime spring thru summer 2011. [Just my opinion / guess mind you now.] ;)

So, I am gonna keep my excitement & anticipation in check until then.... :D

Yeah axcited big time.

it may just replace the Izula (fixed) I carry now.

I cannot wait. I am going to do a full blown review on it too. I REALLY like the price point too...half that of a Sebbie and all business. Judging from looking at t-k-c's website and seeing them all sold out before they even hit the shelves bodes quite well for these folders.

I saw it mentioned about giving up on folders, and I did for a while too, but they are making a come back for my personal carry...especially in the summer time when wearing a fixed blade on your belt with shorts and a tank top just doesn't flow right with me.

Are you talking about the Izula, or the H.E.S.T? The Izula folder has no price point yet. They also have not set up a pre order as far as I know. I think you are talking about the H.E.S.T folder.

I forgot all about it now that the one with the beer bottle opener is coming out!

I think everyone forgot about the Izula folder since the HEST was announced.

Im still pumped up about it even though it probably wont be produced until sometime next year.

I'm less excited about the Izula since I found out it was not going to be a frame-lock. I have the HEST pre-ordered.

Totally still stoked about the Izula folder myself.

Been buying nothing but fixed knives lately, so looking forward to getting some new folders.
