Is anyone still excited about the Izula folder?

i will have to see the final specs/rendering. but it will have to be an amazing folder to kick the sebenza out of my pocket

The problem is between now and then I will find 100 things to spend my Izula/F money on. :D

No biggie if there's a delay in the Izula F. I should have funds recharged a coupla mos after I get the HEST F. I find myself carrying my folders more since I came to Kali.

I am definitely still looking forward to the Izula folder.

I too would like to see it made with titanium, but either way

I'm thinking it will really deliver.

I am looking forward to the Izula folder and, don't shoot me, but I might be looking forward to it more than the HEST folder. I want them both but I feel from the initial concept specs that the Izula might fill my folder needs more. The HEST is a sick heavy duty folder but the Izula is a nice EDC that won't frighten people when I pull it out.

If you are remotely interested in getting a production HEST/f, I'd say you'd better get on a pre order list from one of the retailers listed at the dpx site.

Most aren't taking money until they want to send it to you, but I believe RYP has said a couple of times that they are only going to make the # that the retailers pre-order -- after the first run of the limited edition #'d ones are made.

as RYP and Jeff posted here recently, once the prototype is built, reviewed on here endlessly, tested, etc....then all final details would be released.

After that, nothings been said for sure, other than RYP has hinted that he has some other DPX projects in the works that will "blow our mind". lol!

**sorry, I know this is "cross thread"...but I just looked at the other thead on the HEST folder and now this on the Izzy folder. Brain scramble! :)

Thanks man I appreciate you looking out. I'm already on a list for 2 of the regular run. I was just questioning your assertion that the 1st regular run wouldn't be ready until after the special edition run. According to Jeff they will be ready around the same time. I'm hoping to get mine in time for Christmas since one is a gift.

**ignore this post unless interested in HEST/f. sorry again, this will be my last post on this (sorta) highjack of the Izzy/folder thread.

thank you, Rusty. Sorry guys, I've been busy the last few days.

gottahavit, glad you are on the list, congrats! (To me) the threads have read that the LE run would be first. Then the non-LE run, but that to get a "non-first 250" it has to be pre-ordered thru one of the supplies listed. Since many are not taking $$ upfront, undoubtably there will be some who don't buy, even at the $179 versus the LE $250. Timeframe of the non-#'d ones...."after" is all I remember. the first 250 get theirs made first....then they get started on the next ones pre-ordered.

I believe, that's the only two runs that have been promised on this project. RYP also hinted at more of a DPX line, so further development into other products could be happening....as well as LionSteel having to get back to his regular work.

But it sounds like anyone who has one pre-ordered on either the LE or regular list is gonna be very happy! :) (and hey, I could be wrong about anything I just typed, lol!)

I'll be hanging on until the Izula folder rolls around (since I'm a big fan of the fixed blade version already).
