NO trees round here for fatwood...ive been looking..
soo..i was at walmart today (i know i know :barf: ) and they have the 5lb boxes o fatwood. Got some...looks, smells, dare i say tastes like everyone around here talks about... Am i on the no no list for the WS&S brethren now?

I get my supplies from Walmart also. There is not an abundance of pine trees near me to get it from.

Yes it is cheating but what do I know, I got a box of it from Kroger's Grocery Store. What can I say I can't go grocery shopping when I am hungry, I come home with things I don't need to buy.

Me too. Then I found another on clearance at Lowe's for cheap. Won't need any more for the rest of my life.

It is tough to find around here too. I found some on clearance a while back at Meijier that I have been using. Cheating or not, it works.

FYI Goinggear.com sells bags of fatwood, not 5lb bags but enough to mess around with.

Either that or somewhere in Bentonville there is a Wal-Mart Office in charge of kicking stumps and then boxing the fatwood up and shipping it to China. Hell, my brother can't get Lousiana crawdads at grocery stores in Arkansas! The Wal-Mart(s) in Hot Springs have damned Chinese crawdads!!!

I purchased my Jute Twine at Wal-Mart because it was the only place I could find it. I hate going in there. For one thing, everything is so busy in there, it's like I have adult ADHD and I start feeling sick like I'm going to hurl or something. The next time I have to go in there with the airline sickness bag in my pocket, I'll have to get me a box of Chinee-fatwood.

Here in the twin cities fatwood is scarce too, unless you want to trespass. I go online for my fatwood.
