Is the Shirogorov market getting soft?

I never claimed that's more than $50K, and these 3 worth more than $30K, I got Siberia form Bill and I got the other two F7 from this year's blade show.

So, essentially, what you meant was "I spent as much as a used BMW might cost on these three knives." I see. Guess that boast doesn't sound quite the same, eh? "I paid this much money for these three knives, I could have bought a used car."

Which again, begs the question that Blues asked. You have the income level to consider $30,000 on knives to be discretionary spending, but you don't have the money to hit the AKI show?

Huh.

The full metal 111, is from a collector on instagram, which he got from this year's TKI.

Who the hell cares if you believe me or not? Why not show your knives to other? What do yo have?

My IG @ is soccerman_lefty, if anyone wanna see more pics of Shiro, just go to my IG, I can send you more.

You seem to take a lot of your personal sense of identity from how much you have spent on a few knives. It seems you're getting upset, because people aren't bowing down to your opinion. Do you feel personally insulted? Why? We're just discussing knives, and some boasting you made, not you personally. So, why don't you calm down?

You know the prices? How about you tell me how much each was auctioned on this year and last year's blade show?
How about you show your knives?

Why are you so feisty? There is no need to brag, nobody cares about how much you overpaid for a tiny little knife:rolleyes:

I have thousands invested in knives myself, but nobody cares...

This has totally changed my view on you.

Wanted to respond to some messages this thread earlier, but decided to skip the headache and sit back.

On topic; I hope prices start to decrease. Would like to own one, but just don't like getting screwed due to hype and marketing tactics.
If it's worth 10k and it costs 10k it's fine. If it's worth $1 and it costs $10, I don't want it.

People ? Give me a break, only you said "lol, sure thing", "I don't believe", This is how you discuss knives?

what kind of knives have you discussed on my thread? Why not you tell us which knife is better at flipping action than Sergey Shirogorov?

I don't feel insulted, you're obviously jealous of what I have, because you can't afford a decent knife,

I am actually very happy that sore loser always jealous of other people's good stuff.

The claim I made all based on my personal experience, have you ever held a Sergey Shirogorov?

If you never seen one, be open mind, the world is big.

Yes, I don't have budge for AKI, becuase those are not the knives I value, those are literally art stuff, I like tactical folders, which can open fast and smoothly, has great powered steels.

If I wanna buy hand made knives, I will choose Kyle Royer or Rodrigo Sfreddo. Kyle is making me a great Bowie like the Freedom's Steel™ V - Liberty's Heritage Bowie from the auction for

National Rifle Association's Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA). And Rodrigo is make 1 Bowie and 1 Dagger for me as well.

I just don't like AKI style, so I don't have the budget.

Don't have isn't the same as don't allocate :)

@ BB FWIW, I care about how much you have invested in knives. Wait, jk. ;) The knives themselves will always be more interesting than paper that purchased them. I suspect you may lean that way as well.

@ S As Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say, "Simmer down now!"

...

I know every knife production factory in China....

IF YOU OWN ONE SHIROGOROV, YOU WILL KNOW, IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO COPY BY OTHER MAKERS.

It must be true if its in ALL CAPS! :D

Their fans seem to like them, so they must be quality knives, but, really. Sheesh. Relax.

And, when you got a knife that is so heavily promoted among a small group of customers, its market will inevitably go soft.

And you know every knife production factory in China?!? We are supposed to accept that fact based on what?

who cares nobody cares? I "overpaid" it because I can I and I like them!

Based on What? Follow my IG, I will show you !

I never claimed that's more than $50K, ....

Large bold face?!? That's even true than all caps! :D

Let me say this...the string of assumptions you have making about the people in this thread could not be more wrong. Those, along with your histrionics hardly adds to your credibility.

They are titanium frame lock flippers. However good they are or great their bearings are, or whatever, we are not talking Scagel or Loveless here. They aren't ground breaking designs, and when the hype cools (which it seems to do), the market for them will soften.

Particularly when, as many have noted, there are many similar looking and functioning high-quality knives out there for a mere fraction for the price.

I know you like them, and have invested a lot in them...but sorry. Shouting and name calling wont make anything different.

He's asking about how you know every Chinese knife factory...

Yes, don't you understand what I said, I know every Chinese knife factory, follow my IG, and I can prove it! there are many factories making folders, folders with locks are illegal, but there are still some factories making them.

That's totally fake rumor, all the real shirogorv are made in Russia!

I know every knife production factory in China

I know their manufacture ability, they CAN'T even make a same production line knife, not to even mention CD line and Sergey line.

Actually there's not even a US maker can match the level of fit&finish, flipping action, manufacture complexity of Sergey Shirogorov. I've seen all the makers during Blade show and TKI, no maker can be close.

IF YOU OWN ONE SHIROGOROV, YOU WILL KNOW, IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO COPY BY OTHER MAKERS.

Are you serious???

You overpaid. So the market is soft.

Thank you for finally addressing the OP's question.

Overpaid is a relative word. Don't you think ferrari is overpriced?

Some people will think ferrari is so cheap? I "overpaid" it because I can I and I like them!

why would I listen to you?

Follow my IG?

I don't even understand what you are talking about.

Friendly advice. Step away for a while, take a walk or something. You are making wild claims about stuff and people, flinging bolds and all caps and exclamation marks...you may know things about Shirogorov knives....but you are not sounding like it.
