Likely true. Funny thing is I wouldn't trade my Large Inkosi's S35vn edgeholding "deficiency" for the reduction in toughness 45 brings. That LI has performed very well in edgeholding and strops back wonderfully.MAGNACUT!!!! Same thing happened to S35vn models at retailers when S45vn started to drop.
Agreed. Im glad the S45vn didn't last long. It was literally the steel no one asked for. I never really cared for M390/204p/20cv, but that still would've made more sense as the next steel rather than S45vn IMO.Likely true. Putting your money into a savings account is an even better thought.Investing in GEC knifes to flip for profit may be a smarter way to go.
Where's the Tanto? Wilson Combat? My collection is pretty well saturated unless they start pumping out old pivots again.

At least they exist, unlike most brands. I'd love to snag a lefty tanto at some point.Leftys are still super rare unfortunately, even on the secondary
I totally agree. A main reason that I appreciate crk so much.At least they exist, unlike most brands. I'd love to snag a lefty tanto at some point.
It's why they've become my favorite brand. They are the most represented brand in my collection.I totally agree. A main reason that I appreciate crk so much.
Did yours have a really stiff detent making it hard to deploy?Seems like going rate on secondary market is around $500, there is no point in paying more even for new unless you are seeking a special edition.
There will always be people that buy the newest greatest at whatever price just to say they have it. Imo, between 35, 45, magna, there isn’t going to be a noticeable difference to 95% of buyers.
I’ve been carrying the s35 zaan I picked up second hand for $450 since I got it and have been totally happy. It was an edc with mostly pocket time from previous owner, will continue to be used well into foreseeable future, and it does get used. Don’t mind the beauty marks from real use at all.
Also added a couple more Zaan’s since, in 45 and magnacut, but the user is my first choice to carry.
Guess I’m trying to say if you see one for $450 even with the “old” blade steel don’t hesitate as they are not a disappointment.
