I can't WAIT for my TNT!!! Actually, it's gonna be a "BGNT", as I've asked Tom to make the blade out of BG-42. Why? Because I love BG-42, and Tom said he hadn't done one with that steel yet. Not every day you get to give a knifemaker a new experience, ya know? I'm not sure where I am on "the list" (I'm assuming December, sometime), but the wait sure is hard!!
Michael - as to the difference between right and left carry with a tip-up: if the knife is a "righty" (as most are), when you carry it in your right pocket, the blade is against the back seam of the pocket, making random unintentional opening harder to do. If you put a "righty" knife in your left pocket, the blade is facing in toward your pocket (so to speak), and there's nothing but the detent to keep the blade from opeing, and biting you when you reach in for your keys.
Personally, I like tip-up. Most of my knives are Emersons, and you need tip-up, for the Wave to work. I haven't gotten bit yet (I know, I know, Tom - "just wait"). But, I will happily carry my TNT tip down every day, and be glad I have it.
Tom - keep cranking, man! But don't forget to catch that sunset every day!
