Issues with server sent emails to various Yahoo umbrella domains, which means those domains *may* be banned.

I have always used my Yahoo account and just went in to my profile to change to my never used Gmail account a few minutes ago. When I did I immediately got the notification of change in my YAHOO account and Gmail account. The Yahoo email seems to work and the email from Bladeforums is going through the Yahoo server. For now I will leave my Gmail address but if the Yahoo issue is fixed I will go back to it at some point.

No, we're not. We're making every effort to get this situation resolved, however we've done what we can to solve these issues and the email address problems are with Yahoo at this point. You have the ability to change email providers at will; we cannot force yahoo affiliated companies to accept our emails. Since all it takes is for you to switch emails to any of countless providers that *do* work, if you choose not to do so we will not issue a refund.

What's with all the flak towards Spark? For no fault of his, Yahoo and a few other domains said "we don't want to play with Bladeforums anymore", and now Spark is being thrown under the bus for it. That's pretty stupid.

You can literally open your profile and change your email to another, very easily. Opening a new email account is also very easy.

Sometimes things happen, and you have to do stuff. It's not a big deal.
 
With yahoo looking like it's starting to work again, If you want to wait until the 18th to change, cool. If you don't, k. Right now we've disabled yahoo & the other above listed emails for registration purposes until this can get resolved because 60k bounces is a problem. We have our system set to start locking profiles who have 5 days of bounces in a row now, so if you get a notification that your email is suddenly locked, that's why.
 
For those curious, here's a glimpse at our email logging. You can see the amount of bounces that certain profiles are generating. The ones that are black have changed their email address to a working one.

For what it's worth...I weighed in a few days ago, along with many others, when I was experiencing painfully slow service on BF.
A thank you to all who fixed that problem! Have to give credit when/where credit is due.
Yesterday and today has been great...just like it was before everything slowed down.

Why not lighten up on the attitude. The man has been working overtime to try to get these issues resolved. The best you can do is throw shade his way?

Bro this is not at will, if you are stating that a member must change their email provider to continue use of service… so right there you’ve already countered your own point. Now I’m not blaming the situation on BF. But your solution of forcing people to change their PRIVATE E-MAIL PROVIDER is not a reasonable one. And then your going to state no refunds because it’s the members choice not to comply…. Right. Seems legit in this day and age.

Who says you have to change your private email? Just set up a new one for bladeforums. Or use one one the other ones you likely have, like with google or Apple. If you have a smartphone, you have at least one other email address already. Forward any mail from bladeforums to your primary one if you want to.
 
For those not savvy in computer / internet / multiple Email accounts ; who are old and tired , or maybe just sick and don't have endless energy to waste ...this is not a trivial matter . It's not just a matter of setting up , then it has to managed . I already have enough problems of my own to deal with everyday .

I hope BF and Yahoo can work out whatever the Hell is the problem between you all ...because I've got nothing to do with this problem and don't appreciate receiving ultimatums from anyone EVER ! :mad::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:
