OT, but the main reason "Florida Man" is so prevalent in the news is that the state "freedom of information" laws give people quicker/easier access to arrest records and whatnot. Crazy and stupid stuff happens everywhere, but we're more likely to hear about it in Florida; the proliferation of the meme makes it more popular too (meaning more people look for "Florida Man" stuff). I'm not saying that there isn't more crazy and stupid stuff that goes on in Florida than other states - in that regard I can't say one way or the other.

I dunno, Texas seems to have some unique headlines. Isn't Texas the state that pretty much entirely shut down due to no power a couple weeks ago even though they call themselves the energy capital of the country? :confused:

The hilarious part was how NONE of the 4x4 F250 jacked up offroad trucks that are a dime a dozen during the normal Houston commute were out on Tuesday in the Snow...

No worries man! Since I imagine there is a 0% chance of being made whole unless the paypal dispute process pans out, this thread was more to vent than anything. If it turns to fun Texas memes and Louisiana jokes, I'm a-okay with it ;)

That is interesting for sure. Which knife are you referring to them selling - was it the Busse fixed blade TGLUB thread that he closed on Sunday after scamming me? I replied to that thread to see if the buyer would reach out regarding if they received their knife or not, but no one has contacted me. How did you determine a sales price for the knife?

Texas is seriously dependent on unreliable "green" energy, and it turns out snow shuts down solar, and ice all over the machinery and Alaskan cold greatly impairs wind-power. All the "carbon" generation, at maximum capacity, was not enough to meet the greatly increased load caused by the cold and wind. "Green" is great in areas with little or nor snow and no seriosu cold. Aboslutely 0 Cognition, of course, diagrees. 2+2 = 7.
