It followed me home (Part 2)

Well finally had a successful picking day! Picked up a 4" Wilton vise, true temp perfect double bit, and several other decent heads

I stand corrected, it must be a 6lb head due to the 6 marked under the poll. It's a heavy sucker for sure! Would the yellow bits of paint left be original?
I got this a couple months ago it has a 6 on it I believe

Plumb & Sager (Warren) are both great axes. The Plumb looks like it's hardly been used.

Both are still very sharp and show no sign of use. I think they were set outside and forgot. I would like to rehang them and clean them up for users.

The Sager has worn toes. It's been heavily used and repeatedly sharpened. But there's still lots of life left in it and it will make a fine user.

These tired old cottagers followed me home from the flea market on the weekend for eight bucks. The only markings are River Trail C1 on the handle of the lower one.

I think I'll be hunting for new handles :o.

The guy took all the money I had in my wallet for this lot. $72.

A lot of nice stuff in there, for that price. Interesting curved handle on that hand adze. Looks like it allows for angle adjustments just by gripping a different part of the handle.

I have not used it to confirm, but I'm sure you are correct. It is stamped Milani-Italy. Looks like a keeper.

Not my best haul but I'll take it. $43, and the axe heads are really good under the Christmas paint. Only one good handle.

More goodies

$2 collins homestead hatchet

$2 plumb hatchet

$1 smith sharpening stone set ( medium stone and fine Arkansas stone, with honing oil)

Both hatchets have original handles marked plumb and collins
