It followed me home (Part 2)

What's the deal with that crosman air pistol, is it a tranquilizer gun ,a paintball marker, or standard pellet firing but just looks weird ?

It's a Webley Hurricane but with missing front end and rear sights. I was unsure as to why it looked weird when I first saw it but when I went to collect it and the other stuff I had time to remember it's incomplete. And it's a .22 air pistol, had one was a boy, fun to shoot and solid.

That makes perfect sense . I knew I recognised it, but couldn't place it.
The grip looked crosman to me, but the trigger guard is different.

Not a banner day, but I'm thrilled with my new Woolrich heavy shirt. Great shape and in my size, $10.

anybody know what kind of paint to use on a fire axe? im thinkin about doing a full resto on that truck-fire axe i posted a few weeks ago, it just needs some paint thinning, buffing and paint and it'll be brand new

The thing to do would be to take a vintage fire axe with good paint into a paint store and have it color matched.

Pulled this out of a friend's dad's garage today and he let me take it home, no markings visible yet. Could be a kelly dandenong.

It looks like a plumb to me but would be way cooler if it was a Kelly Dandenong.

Kelly Dandenongs normally have a more square poll.

I was also thinking it could be an australian plumb after i posted. It was with a few other paper label axes mostly later trojan and cyclone paper labels.
Whatever it is, it had a really nice slim haft. Its thinner than most hatchets right at the point of the break.

no i mean what type of paint, like vinyl die, latex, acrylic, that kinda stuff. cant be latex because that stuff isnt as tough

I'd go with a killrust or equivalent primer then a can of quality automotive enamel, You get what you pay for with spray paint.
Biggest tip i can give is to make sure the steel is as clean as possible, First remove any rust and a bit of wax and grease remover should do the trick for the rest.

Maybe try implement or tractor paint available at auto parts and farm supply stores. I have used it on various tools mostly Pulaski's. The label on these will probably state alcyd enamel.
No paint will really survive the use.

Picked these up at an auction today. I recently started getting into cast iron. The one skillet is made in taiwan. The chicken fryer doesn't have any markings that I can see. I built an electrolysis tank earlier in the week. I'll throw this stuff in there and see how well they clean up.

I don't see any markings on the double bit. The single ax has a stamp. I think it might be a Kelly Quality but I'm not sure.

And I found 2 Craftsman stainless ratchets in a box of junk I got for $1. They seem to be pretty popular on the big auction site.
